Did you know that a smile is contagious? It costs nothing to give, but reaps great rewards for both the receiver and the giver. A Smile Spreads Good Cheer!

Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said, “Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.”

It’s amazing that your simple smile can brighten someone’s day in a moment’s notice. Too often we underestimate the power of a smile. Although it may be considered the smallest act of caring and it takes little or no effort on our part, it has the power to turn a life around—in fact more than one. Like the ripple effect of a pebble tossed into a pond, your smile will spread far beyond the first person who receives it. You never know how many people will benefit because you smiled first.

Getting Myself Together –

My morning had me being DEBBIE DOWNER and my after had me being BUSY BETTY but my evening had me being JOYFUL JUDY! LOL I tell you- it is really something to go up and down via the things of life and trying to maintain a PEACEFUL mind set ya know!! I am well though and cant …wont and shall not complain.

Sometimes you HAVE to just get yourself together and REMEMBER…. what you have to be grateful for – indeed!

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. –Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting. — Difficulties are opportunities to better things; they are stepping stones to greater experience. Perhaps someday you will be thankful for some temporary failure in a particular direction. When one door closes, another always opens. —

Gratitude is something of which none of us can give too much. For on the smiles, the thanks we give, our little gestures of appreciation, our neighbors build their philosophy of life. — Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. —

Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting. — Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation. —

The Substance of Women……..

To discover what it means to be a woman of substance, we must define the term. lists a variety of meanings for substance. One is: “substantial  or solid character or quality.” Other definitions included “consistency, body”  and “something that has separate or independent existence.”

Based on  these definitions, a woman of substance would be a woman who has strong  character, is consistent, has more to her than meets the eye and has a variety  of interests outside and within her home and family. She is interesting to get  to know; she possesses a depth of personality and character.

A woman of substance conducts herself with patience. Even when her life, job,  friends, children or husband drive her crazy, she knows that it is better to  respond with patience than to react in anger. Because there is more to her life  than just her friends or her job, she knows that she has hobbies and goals that  she can look forward to beyond the present frustrating moments.

A woman of substance conducts her life with honesty and integrity. She is  aware that it is better to get a fair promotion than a promotion gained from  dishonesty or hurtfulness to a co-worker. She knows that life consists of more  than money, so she would not have the desire to cheat on her taxes  or keep an extra dollar of change the cashier gave her at the grocery store.

Other character qualities a woman of substance should have include  peacefulness, love, patience and steadfastness—to name a few. She possesses  virtues that make others around her notice that she is not shallow.

Besides virtue and other character qualities, a woman of substance has  knowledge. This does not mean just knowledge about makeup or hairstyles, but  knowledge about subjects of interest to others. A woman of substance will educate  herself fully about current issues.

She will know about crises and concerns  within her city, state and nation. She understands that what goes on around her affects her family just as much, starting with HER CHILDREN!

She will want to take action to do all she  can to help, whether by writing a letter to the editor or running for office.  She will be aware of and participate in the political process. OF COURSE, there is MUCH more for her to do but…..

Grateful, That’s All –

I did nothing to gain God’s Favor, while living out a life of sin,  But, to me He sent The Savior, changing my heart deep within. God changed my life’s behavior, and now my life I give to Him, And though my heart may waver, His Holy Spirit remains within. For my sins, as dark as night,  *God is so amazing…..God had sent for me a sacrifice, God made my sins snowy white, by the blood of Jesus Christ. Moving me from wrong to right, when for me He paid the price,  Which lead me into His Light, from my darkness, into New Life.

It wasn’t me who sought the face, of The God in Heaven above, Instead, it was all of Grace, when He poured on me all His Love. It was me, who God embraced; as God I wasn’t even thinking of, Yet my sins God would erase, through Jesus and Calvary’s love. God is so amazing……..

It was God, who loved me first, for God moved upon my heart, God had saved me at my worst, allowing me a brand new start. While living in a world accursed, He helps me from sin to depart, My course in life God reversed, with His Spirit, now in my heart.

I’ll never know, just how and why, I was favored by God on High, But with His Favor I want to be, God’s witness so that all can see, The Love God showed in His Son, who died for me and everyone, So they can come to the place, where they too, accept His Grace……

Asking God For Things –

I asked God to take my pain away. God said, No. It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up. I asked God to make my dying father better 5 years ago. God said, No. His spirit was whole, his body was only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations, it isn’t granted, it is earned. I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings, Happiness is indeed up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain in regards to my my 11 year old’s father being an absentee father and 20 year old twin kids wordly actions. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me. God said…….. Ahhhh, finally you have the idea!!!!

A Little Wisdom –

The strength of a man isn’t seen in the width of his shoulders. It’s seen in the width of his arms that circle you. The strength of a man isn’t in the deep tone of his voice. It’s in the gentle words he whispers. The strength of a man isn’t how many buddies he has. It’s how good a buddy he is with his kids.

The strength of a man isn’t in how respected he is at work. It’s in how respected he is at home. The strength of a man isn’t in how hard he hits. It’s in how tender he touches. The strength of a man isn’t in the hair on his chest. It’s in his Heart … that lies within his chest.

The strength of a man isn’t how many women he’s loved. It’s in how he can be true to one woman. The strength of a man isn’t in the weight he can lift. It’s in the burdens he can carry.

Honor, Respect, Faith, Relationship with God, Healthy Relationships with Family and Friends, Giving, Compassion, Love and Commitment are “some of the things” that a Single Mother can show HER SON which can aid to help nurture him to be a GREAT MAN.

Even without a father – being present and producing a CONSISTENT voice and presence in their son’s lives – I often tell some of my girl pals NOT to become bitter when God has already equipped our sons as well as ourselves to “put in the POSITIVE SEEDS” of Life –

Oh by the way….. Women Rock… and Single Moms are Doing Their Thing –

“God got us AND our boys”……….. just STAY being a light, an example of Christian Living –
