Oh it’s soo amazingly nice to be friends with people for years and you see each other off and off but when you do, its like YOU NEVER skipped a beat! Oh how I loved BOTH of these women of God…women of Virtue! Sis. Lorraine is a nice size piece of my past that gives me strength everytime that I see her – She is truly one of God’s special people…

I absolutely adore BOTH of these ladies and thank the Lord that they both have taught ME a multitude of things….

The mental blessings that I obtained on today has once again shifted me onto another path……

Starting Your Day Right >>>

image

Get it out of the way. Often when we wake up disgruntled it’s because we know that the day holds at least one chore we’re not happy about doing. So just do it. Get it out of the way and over with. The whole rest of the day will be spent with a feeling of relief instead of overhanging guilt.

Count your blessings – Yeah, I know – it sounds like sermonizing. But when we are feeling down it is because we’re letting the negatives outweigh the positives. Making a list of the positives reminds us that all is not misery. While you’re at it, make a list of the things you like about yourself. You can throw the paper away if you like – but remember those good things when the bad seems to be descending.

Look for that silver lining. It may sound Pollyanna-like, but in almost every situation there is a bright spot. It may be miniscule compared to everything else that seems to be pressing on you – but it is there. Find it. Concentrate on it.

If you can’t find it alone, call a friend and let them help you to search for the good aspects. Friends often have to listen to us bemoaning things – think how pleasant a change it will be for them to help you focus on the positive.

Name five people that you love. Take a few minutes to call one of them, or send them a postcard. Promise yourself that you will treat the next person on the list tomorrow.

A Crutch Needs To Be Appreciated More Often!

1

A “crutch” is only used when a person needs support. It helps them to walk if they have a sprung or broken leg, ankle or foot. After a person heals from that injury, they no longer rely or need that “crutch.” The crutch no longer has a purpose, therefore it loses it’s value.

The crutch is placed in a closet, corner, basement or attic. No one ever really goes back to that crutch to say thank you or… even appreciate it for supporting them. When you become an enabler and a crutch to others, the same thing may happen to you and that relationship.

When the person that you were there for finally gets back on their feet, they may forget about you. But it is harder to forget the “Bridge” that you brought you over. Stop being a crutch, and start being a bridge.

When Normal Was Reality

I was going through a few photos that I found of family members and I almost SCREAMED out loud because when I viewed them it was super indeed bitter / sweet… Seriously it was / is…

Like God…. REALLY? Why and and How are the two main culprit questions that I am tired of dissecting! Keeping your family on common ground is simply EXHAUSTING! Trust me….

God knows that my family used to be SIMPLY AMAZING, really we all were!! I am praying that everyone REALLY soul searches and see the part (s) that they have played as well as STILL playing in regards to keeping the family split…. Life is too short for foolishness is it not?

Heavenly Father, Please shine your light upon my family, Give us strength to overcome all of the
difficulties that we are dealing with now and protect us against any and all problems
we may encounter in the future.  Oh Lord, please bring us together as we are meant to be. May the love that binds us only grow stronger as we fulfill the destiny you have laid out for us. Grant my family forgiveness for any sins we have committed.

May we also forgive one another Lord, as it is sometimes difficult to do… GEESH!!

Bless us Lord, In your name I pray, Amen

Being Appreciative – that’s all…..

Do what i did today walk out your house and look back at your home and THANK GOD for SHELTER. Walk back in your home flip the light switch on and THANK GOD FOR LIGHTS. Because there are MILLIONS of people on the EAST COAST are without because of a STORM. You’re NOT LUCKY but BLESSED….

that’s all……

Strong Epiphany …..

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I’m short on money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school oreagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can appreciate that I have a place to call home.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

Today I can fall out and scream because one of my kids is choosing not to do the right thing or be happy they are alive and hold onto my faith.

What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!
