Overall -you will beat most people when you just have a good idea, but you’ll beat the rest of the crowd as soon as you do something with it!
Okay who would have thought that this nut bolt that was found inside my tired would allow me to meet…connect and fellowship with people who I never would have talked to MORE THAN ……..a simple >>>> how much will my bill be for my new tire!
The mechanic came to me and WHISPERED….. hello miss, I saw the FISH on front of your car.. He said are you one? I was scratching my hair and thinking huh? What is he talking about and then why is he whispering??
Then it hit me….. I have this on my car and then I smiled!
I had t ask him why was he whispering…. LOL and he said that since I was a customer, he didnt want to be wrong and make a scene.. Well lo and behold.. Yes I told him the good news that I WAS INDEED A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST! He wanted to know if ” I was one”…. ( a fellow Christian ) now…
I have to be honest… I MEAN BLUNTLY HONEST….. Talk about judging someone!!!! This guy looked like a “NICE VERSION” of a skin head who may have used his lunch breaks to say ” Hail Hitler ” in the back office room and he had the OUTFIT to go along with it.
However, the more we talked…the more we laughed…. hugged…gave each other high fives…looked at photos on each others phones via ministry etc…. I sat in this shop for 3 hours talking to mechanics about Jesus Christ and found out that the whole business were Christians and everyone who worked there!!!
Talk about FLOORED and loving how God set this whole thing up behind my tired getting a bolt stuck in it!
I was talking so long that my son fell asleep wrapped up in his shirt in their air conditioner! LOL
What woman would NOT desire to have this in her bedroom? Oh goodness, I so need this! LOL
Strong women are women who are candid, forthright and quite liberal in their views. The women of today are quite smart and almost stand parallel with today’s men.
Liberalisation of women has gone a long way in making women stronger, sharper and smarter. The woman of today is more independent, courageous and brave enough to carry out things herself. Women of today, even make better bosses than men.
God has linked me up with several women “who are NOT like me” and in the beginning it was VERY CHALLENGING for me because ” I ASSUMED” growing up that all women or at least most women were just as strong as me…..the same…or even stronger….. OOOPPSS!!! That is so not the case, which has allowed me to PRODUCE more compassion in dealing with me who are not like me and even the people who may be like me…. Interesting HUH! LOL
It is always important to have someone in your life who is NOT on your level so that you can help pull them up
It is always important to have someone in your life who is ON your level so that you can manage and see what you have accomplished
It is always important to have someone in your life who is OVER your level so that you can be taught and then grow
According to Brad Garrett, “I love strong women, not only in life but in craft.” A phrase called “women of substance” is used to describe all the strong women in the world. When I first read that from this author, I got excited because I was like FINALLY!!!! A man who can appreciate a strong woman and not THROW HER INTO THE FEMINIST MOVEMENT category! BUT THEN – I kept reading some more of his writings and he is a little sexist…..
I tell ya, I am NOT a feminist….. you know – the women that feel that they can do JUST AS MUCH OR THE SAME as a man so they want the same treatment …pay etc… There is a balance to everything and I understand that women should be treated equally but let us PLEASE FIND SOME BALANCE! I enjoy being a lady 24 hours a day! You can count on that….
Strong women are those women who are mentally strong and have strength of character. Strong women never give up in the face of testing circumstances. According to Bete Davis, “Strong women only marry weak men.” Which I feel is a very sexist statement because I am A VERY STRONG WOMAN and I would not EVER want to marry a weak man!
Key words… ” I would not want “……………..
Mothers and Sons……have a really special type of relationship and it is imperative that it is groomed and molded correctly. I teach my son so many things and allow him to discover things about himself, God and even how he interacts with me. I give him space to learn and to grow…..and I GLOW in the fact that he always asks questions about EVERYTHING.
It takes one woman twenty years to make a man of her son – and another woman twenty minutes to make a fool of him….that sounds harsh but it is the truth! However, I think that via raising a son……. A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life. Maybe it is a woman / female bond that never goes away and women just make a priority.
He who can be a good son will be a good father so that why it is imperative that we make sure as a mother we POUR INTO OUR SONS as much positivity as possible. We also have to be LIVING examples and remember that their first few girlfriends they may compare to us – so “watch” who they bring home! LOL
My son talks about getting married and having 4 kids! He says that he wants his wife to be and act like me but he wants her to be white! I giggled to myself and THEN asked him if color matters to him? He said no mom…. but when I am at school or out, more black girls act ghetto more than white girls….
I said ok.. I can see your point in that and you do not want that type of girlfriend when you get older BUT what if when you get older – you see black girls acting like nice ladies? He said maybe I may change my mind but I just want them to act like you.
I HAVE TO BE HONEST…………….. for a moment that had me worried… I do not raise or want “no momma’s boys” but I do want my son to respect me..honor me…. listen to my opinions and sometimes take my advice because he trust what I am saying to him.
EVENTUALLY as we look back on how we raise our kids…….
Your son at five is your master, at ten your slave, at fifteen your double, and after that, your friend or your foe, depending on his bringing up!! LOL Little joke but it has humor AND truth to it… My son is 10 right now and I rip and run EVERYWHERE with and for that boy. I put my events around his schedule!!! So does that mean I am his slave?…no but I am choosing to just put him first. Giving your son a SET OF skills in life is better than giving him money, fame and power…
I am just very grateful that we talk about any and everything – even when it makes me CRINGE! I thank God for the genuine, honest, loving, Christian, caring, nurturing- open relationship.
