This Was Soo Good –

Okay – it is no secret that I am NOT a huge “urban film” movie goer …unless it is a love story –  However, earlier today – I took a few hours to run and see this movie and I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that I did! All smiles from me!

The Best Man Holiday knocked my socks off – and made me have a need for A MILLION BOXES OF TISSUE –  The  movie was very well written and done and left me with the feelings of laughter – sadness – happiness – wanting to be married – respecting friends and family even the more – EVERYONE needs to see this movie because the message behind it is just utterly amazing!

I also saw THOR last weekend with my son and this movie was so good! Okay, the movie was great but THOR – GAWWWWD – whew – as I calm down and take my own blood pressure! LOL ….Seriously, it is very nice to be able to take my son to movies that I even grew up enjoying…..he loved it a great deal and I was glad. I am a little strict and I do NOT believe in allowing kids his age to watch abrasive movies, cussing, demonic and basically ANYTHING that is RATED R and to be honest even some PG movies are a bit too much for him. They are surely going to make a THOR 3

Learning to STOP and discover that I like roses……dig the dirt to place the roses… the seeds to grow the roses…..take the time to nurture and water the roses… I can do things like this and have FUN with my son!

Which in OTHER WORDS – is smelling the roses that I took time to plant!

Dear ( ME )

Missing A Piece of MY Past…….

Its so amazing how in life we have to just adjust to any and everything! I was at a funeral / (HOME-GOING) That is what the black church calls funerals for Saints who have followed, lived for God and have been called on to be with The Lord.

It was soooooooooooo amazingly blessed and emotional. Just seeing all of the old church members and knowing that we were ALL very happy to see one another and be connected agin was just so touching. My mom was soooooooooooo overjoyed!!!!

It was literally a 30 year church reunion with rejoicing, singing, praising, crying, hugging, clapping, singing, worshipping, preaching and laughing!

It made me realize how much I really have missed the old tine church… old church…..the fellowship of my old church….

the accountability of my old church…the teachings of my old church…..the genuine LOVE of my old church….

the prayer meetings at my old church…..the long sunday nights at my old church……the stern discipline at my old church….the Pastor of my old church…the Pastor’s Wife of my old church…..the anointing of my old church..

My son was so amazed on how much love was being displayed from everyone and he said he wished that we could go to my old Pastor’s church! I advised him that even though he died and we are at his Home – Going the members like myself and others are mostly all still alive.

A great deal of us are spread out at different ministries but I pray that we can RE -UNITE ONCE A YEAR!!!!!!

Pastor Tim… You are missed, loved and appreciated…Thank you for your obedience to God and instructing God’s people to live a saved filled life. I love you and will see you again.

Christian Temple will always be apart of ME and it has truly molded me into the young lady that I am now… You instructed my mother who in turn taught me so we Both say Thank You!

Current Thoughts

If we continue to live in our past than it will hinder our faith towards the greatness of our future.
Why let the past failures, hurts, and even successes steal from you the greatness of your future. Do not get stuck in the past but look towards the greatness of your future. You future holds so many undiscovered opportunities. Get excited about your future and thank God you made it through your past.

It’s not always necessary to say what you do but you always need to do what you say. A lot of talk with no action destroys your credibility….

Babbling With My Son –

It’s not what you achieve, it’s what you overcome. That’s what defines who you are…..   Your outlook upon life, your estimate of yourself, your estimate of your value  are largely colored by your environment. Your whole career will be modified,  shaped, molded by your surroundings, by the character of the people with whom  you come in contact every day…

Honestly, I think everyone should experience defeat at least once during their career. You  learn a lot from it!!!   He always tells me what he wants to do in life via his career and I advise him that he needs to find a career to which he his adapted by nature, and then to work hard at  it, is about as near to a formula for success and happiness as the world  provides. One of the fortunate aspects of this formula is that, granted the  right career has been found, the hard work takes care of itself. Then hard work  is not hard work at all.

When you know that DESTINY is a place calling you into your future, you are careful not to involve yourself with everything that looks like an opportunity.

Opportunist involve themselves with opportunities that are not beneficial to their destiny, and since destiny calls you into your future-opportunist will never see their future because they wind up stranded on fantasy island.
