Biblical Parenting…..TMP

image

Biblical parenting is not for cowards or wishy – washy parents. It take courage to set principles and stick to them. Be brave today, you can do this!

Biblical parenting says, deferred gratification is good and necessary to train patience but also to train out selfishness and the “ME” in a child!

Biblical parenting is directly opposed to democratic or humanistic parenting. Biblical parenting says that man has a sin nature that parents must train out of our children in order to pave a path of responsible behavior in them.

Biblical parenting also see that conflict is a reality of life and that resolution of conflict is good. Too many parents try to shield their children from conflict and their children develop no coping skills. Let them work it as you provide wisdom and clarity!

Friday Thoughts –

imageNo one said it was going to be easy, the day you were born. Your mother never said that life would be a breeze and it will be clear sailing without any struggles, risks, or obstacles to overcome. Instead, you realized that things might not always go your way. Even as an infant, you got hungry, thirsty, bored, tired, sick, cold, hot, constipated, upset, startled, scared, confused, and frustrated by a myriad of circumstances you couldn’t possibly comprehend.

As you grew up, you began to understand how you could control certain elements of your environment, yet still suffered from all the troubles I just listed. Even as an adult, we are subjected to these same issues that invade our lives. It appears that life is, and shall stay, a struggle until the day we die. It’s how we cope and view these incidents that find our character and the quality of our existence.

It’s all about our attitude. With constant news reports about catastrophes striking every country in the world, how can we feel good about ourselves? There are starving people, natural disasters, political strife, warring nations, terrorism, pollution, health concerns, and over-crowding, both local and nationally. The news apparently is never good.

Add to that, daily confrontations with employers, store clerks, other drivers, and family members, you get the picture. You face a never-ending sea of bills, relationship challenges, and on-the-job dilemmas. Where will it end? Only at death, I’m afraid and some depressed individuals have already decided to end their lives sooner than later. But, for the rest of us that face these facts of daily life, what are our options?

We have to accept why we are on this planet in the first place. Assuming we have only one crack at a lifetime, we get to make the most out of it as possible. Through our own free will and perhaps some divine intervention, we control our fate. We can choose to allow the constant bombardment of negativity ruin our psyche, or ignore the obvious taunts and move forward with a good attitude. It’s takes a commitment and constant effort to overcome the flow of obstacles, but it can be done. It begins with the simple things.

Today’s – Inspiration

image

You wake up every morning, wondering what the day has in store for you. It could be a fun day full of happy surprises, new friendships, and accomplishment of new milestones. Or, it could be a lousy day, with the boss yelling at you, your car breaking down, or your kid doing something they should not have. Some days are good, some are bad and it is just LIFE and we have to learn to deal with it all in stride….. Is it hard – OF COURSE but should we allow it to “kill our day” NO!

How do you react to these incidents? Do you mope around and say, “Life is hard!”? Or do you square your shoulders, and say, “No problem, life is good!”?

Albert Einstein said, “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” If you look at life positively, you will find every hurdle a stepping stone to success. Instead of making excuses, you will find reasons to succeed. Each failure teaches us important lessons in life. Don’t be disappointed or disillusioned by your misadventures. Life is good when you accept failures and success.

Recharge your soul with positive thinking. Start your day by saying that life is good. Quotes that build a positive energy are great stress busters. With a never-say-die attitude, you can see the silver lining in every grey cloud.

Another Letter – “for him”

Wow, we have made it 11 years TOGETHER and we still are “besties”…..LOL

Thank you so much for teaching me how to become a better PERSON first…. There has been SEVERAL times / moments that had me displaying anger due to a multiplicity of things that either HAPPENED or DID NOT HAPPENED and through it all – you have always been my “soft voice” to calm my nerves!

May 31, 2013 is a day that I am grateful to see with you……

Although you turn 11 years old today but God know that spiritually you are at least 16 years of age and naturally just doing everyday normal adult like things – you are EASILY at least 18 years old – *go get your driver’s license* ( LOL)

I would like to apologize to you for the days that I may have FUSSED at you more than you may have wanted to deal with – I forget sometimes that although you are VERY MATURE for your age…..at the end of the day –

You are “STILL” a little boy …who is growing up into a mature “tween” and I have to allow you to do that REGARDLESS how many times you say and do things that seem / are adult like. Thank you for allowing me to MOTHER you and choosing to love me back!

DISCLAIMER: –

It is NO SECRET that you have almost “everything” but I still pray that this weekend, “starting today”  – you will realize how blessed you really are and not to take even the things that you may feel is “little” or “ordinary” or “what you feel is a standard way of life” for granted.

REALIZE  the daily gems /  the lifestyle that I provide for you is NOT normal for the average kid……. You are beyond blessed – remember that!

Love you 2 Life…….
