Copycat Maybe?

The Following intertitle.png

There has been a show that I started watching called The Following. I first  like any other show although it was on Season 2 and I felt that I was too behind to catch up, I thought that  may be watching for recreational time would “suffice”. However after the 2nd episode, the Lord indeed showed me that it was for a purpose.

The show has a great story line because it is really based upon how a CULT in 2014 could happen – how it obtains its followers, how the leader manipulates existing followers to recruit new followers.

It comes on EST on Mondays at  9pm on FOX – with Kevin Bacon – there are certain parts that I would call my son Jared in to watch with me and as a scene would happen, I would quickly explain to him how it happened and what he should do in an instance like this etc.

From things happening at restaurants, bus stops and most importantly school settings – Which comes to the point of this blog post –  On a scale from 1 to 10 my son’s current school district is considered an “7.75” and the next town over is a  “8.5 ”  so of course wanting my son to obtain a BETTER education I was pondering on a few things.

However, this morning in a “neighboring” school district that I have been contemplated moving into for the last year has had a tragic morning – I INDEED believe that this HORRIFIC incident that transpired was connected to the TV show, The Following –  I am NOT saying that the high school student was apart of a cult but “spiritually speaking”…….. you have to watch just only one episode of the show in regards to what happened to see what I am saying.

Round 2 Same Day

Okay!!! Just got back to the hospital hospital again…. I wrote and posted this but forgot to hit upload! !!

Welp…  from not sleeping at all yet..I’m feeling just a little great right now… LIFE is such a beautiful thing when ALL hell seems to break loose BUT YOU STILL have what is most  important to YOU! !!!

Well, my Mother indeed is it…the most important thing to ME. .. (So serious) and as she slept…..sooo peacefully!! Then cracked open one eye making sure we was STILL there was hilariously funny BUT also made it hard to leave!!!!

So we acted silly (silently) until we knew she was OUT for the count!!!

Thanking God…..AGAIN

God is Able –

Welp….. been up since yesterday at 3 am trying to get things straight…. Mind – Body – Soul and Spirit via my mommy cakes! I tell you… it is always something going on but God is the ULTIMATE HEALER RIGHT!!

We played around and acted super silly as we got mom to the hospital and waited until her surgery was over….We talked about family as usual…new traditions…the ups and the downs….different types of friendships / relationships…. how we can do things going forward….the holidays…the family reunion…..what is missing.. etc…..etc….

I was exhausted by at least this EARLY afternoon! – LOL ….I was sleepy….smelled a bit “interesting” ..had to leave and go to 2 different appointments….get cleaned up…pick my son up..feed him with homework AND STILL COME BACK TO THE HOSPITAL!…

My niece is standing here talking to my mom and just being ever so grateful to the Lord for bringing her out of surgery. … She sooo sweet!!!

Well honey- praise the Lord that ALL went well because the story that her doctor shared with me and my oldest sister was mind boggling via my mommy’s “previous condition” before she went under the knife… God is amazing and I soo enjoyed the look on the doctor’s face when he could NOT EXPLAIN NOR UNDERSTAND how she was even still alive –

I simply told him that it was by the GRACE OF GOD – Gosh..I absolutely LOVE this woman!!

So Weird!!!

A young Kenyan mother has named her newly born twin boys after the U.S. president-elect and his defeated Republican challenger.

Millicent Owuor, 20, gave birth to Barack Obama and Mitt Romney on Wednesday at the Siaya District Hospital in southwest Kenya, according to the Standard.

Owuor told the Kenyan news outlet her sons’ names will always remind her of the election in the United States.

The hospital is near the village of Kogelo, where where President Barack Obama’s father was born and where his 90-year-old step-grandmother, Sarah Obama resides.

Residents of Kogelo emphatically celebrated Obama’s victory as results from the United States were reported.

Shouts of “Hail our Kogelo son” and “Obama is coming, open the road for him” rang through the air as locals blew vuvuzelas horns in celebration, the Standard reports.

“If Obama did not win, I believe most projects here would stall,” Joseph Onyango told the Kenyan media outlet.

Kenyans hope Obama’s reelection will harken a fresh start with U.S. relationships with Kenya, Reuters reports.

Obama visited sub-Saharan Africa just once during his first four years – a stop of less than a day in Ghana, according to Reuters.

If Obama does visit Kenya, maybe baby Barack can meet his namesake, and baby Mitt meet the U.S. President.

A Success!

Mom’s test at the hospital was a PURE SUCCESS!!  I could NOT eat or even think straight all morning and afternoon until I heard from the nurse’s station…. then when a nurse allowed my mom to sneak and call me from her cell phone…. I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad…

You could tell the utter excitement we both felt to hear one another’s voice ver the phone. I told her how much I loved her, how much I was praying and whispered to my loving mother that GOD DID IT, yet again….

We giggled and she had to hang up….. I got to the floor where she was and I felt so happy because when I said her name everyone from the registration department, to the radiology department to the nurse’s station had smiled and all had the same things to say about ” MY MOMMY “……

She is soo sweet and kind and she talked about you the whole time!!!

I was soo happy and felt all musy inside!! Welp, long stressing story short…. I got my momma and we smiled laughed and I even got the nurse to take the photo of us above before we left to get in the car… GEESH my mother, I love that woman!!  She has taught me so much…..stressed me soo much…..prayed for me soo much…fussed at me soo much…mad me scratch my head soo much….made me mad sooo much….made me laugh soo. much….made me worry soo much….. made me cry ( not that much )…….

BUT I AM GRATEFUL that God gave us to each other to share this life with! My mommy is 72 years old with a pace maker – so I am ELATED that ANY DAY that this woman is ABOVE ground is a blessed day for ME!

Life – 101

Life is surely something to treasure, regardless how much stress and heartache it can bring!

 –  Life is fragile, sudden adn shorten than it often APPEARS…..

There may not be a tomorrow – not for everyone.  Right now, someone on Earth is planning something for tomorrow without realizing they’re going to die today.  This is sad but true.  So spend your time wisely today and pause long enough to appreciate it.

Every moment you get is a gift.  Don’t waste time by dwelling on unhappy things.  Spend it on things that move you in the direction you want to go.

Everything in life and about life is really two–sided!!  There is good reason why we can’t expect to feel pleasure without ever feeling pain; joy without ever feeling sorrow; confident without ever feeling fear; calm without ever feeling restless; hope without ever feeling despair:

There is no such thing as a one-sided coin in life, with which one can buy a pain-free, trouble-free existence.

My mommy has a few tests that she has to undergo today at the hospital so I am indeed cherishing LIFE because I am continually praying that her tests come out POSITIVE and all goes well during the test.

They always say that Life is  NOT promised – well actually I beg to differ.. If God allowed you be born that is Life – If God allowed you to wake up and see another day, that is Life

The statement should be that the LONGEVITY of Life is not promised….
