Church –

Oh did I have a splendid time on today in regards to fellowship at my place of worship! It is funny to me because I am so used to being in church EACH SERVICE for at least 3 hours. My son and I got home a little after 11 am this morning and it threw me off until at least 4 pm – SERIOUSLY!

I am so grateful for at least “this season” I am somewhere I am enjoying – learning new things about myself and discovering the Love of Christ in such a new and beautiful way –

The worship experience is so FREE that it makes me feel as if I am indeed floating on the promises of God Himself! It is different but good – new but old – loud but angelic – busy but therapuetic – short but long and I am happy as ever.

A HUGE PERK for me is that my 11 1/2 year old son really likes it as well – WHEW- So grateful

LOL ..we eat..laugh..FREELY talk about God..life…relationshops…..work…being angry….being happy etc…etc…etc… ans more etc…etc..

Having friends BUT no fellowship is NOT a relationship! !!!!! In life, we have to be open to ALL types of friends because YOU will never know who God is trying to connect us to and what God is trying to do for us…..

Be open!!! I can tell you honestly that it’s been a blessing AND its worth it!

Random About “Favor” –

image

To favor means to give special regard to; to treat with goodwill; to show exceptional kindness to someone. Sometimes, it means to show extra kindness in comparison to the treatment of others; that is, preferential treatment. Deuteronomy 28:50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
See All… warns of judgment by a “nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young.” Though it is natural for us to favor the young in times of affliction or judgment, this nation will not give such favor.

Esther received royal favor above all the other virgins (Esther 2:17And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.. It is from this use of favor that we get the word, favorite. The greatest favors are shown to the favorite.

However, favor is not always used in a comparative way toward others. It sometimes simply means that the one favored is shown kindness and treated with a generosity and goodwill far beyond what would normally be expected. This is generally the favor that we receive from the Lord. We are treated much better than we could expect. Of course, every believer is favored to some degree. Therefore, we must understand God’s favor in degrees. The more we please God, the more we will be favored by Him. Also, it is important not to think of this favor in material or worldly terms. God’s favor most likely will be given in spiritual blessings more than in material blessings.

Asking God For Things –

image

I asked God to take my pain away. God said, No. It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up. I asked God to make my dying father better 5 years ago. God said, No. His spirit was whole, his body was only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations, it isn’t granted, it is earned. I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings, Happiness is indeed up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain in regards to my my 11 year old’s father being an absentee father and 20 year old twin kids wordly actions. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me. God said…….. Ahhhh, finally you have the idea!!!!

Friday Thoughts –

imageNo one said it was going to be easy, the day you were born. Your mother never said that life would be a breeze and it will be clear sailing without any struggles, risks, or obstacles to overcome. Instead, you realized that things might not always go your way. Even as an infant, you got hungry, thirsty, bored, tired, sick, cold, hot, constipated, upset, startled, scared, confused, and frustrated by a myriad of circumstances you couldn’t possibly comprehend.

As you grew up, you began to understand how you could control certain elements of your environment, yet still suffered from all the troubles I just listed. Even as an adult, we are subjected to these same issues that invade our lives. It appears that life is, and shall stay, a struggle until the day we die. It’s how we cope and view these incidents that find our character and the quality of our existence.

It’s all about our attitude. With constant news reports about catastrophes striking every country in the world, how can we feel good about ourselves? There are starving people, natural disasters, political strife, warring nations, terrorism, pollution, health concerns, and over-crowding, both local and nationally. The news apparently is never good.

Add to that, daily confrontations with employers, store clerks, other drivers, and family members, you get the picture. You face a never-ending sea of bills, relationship challenges, and on-the-job dilemmas. Where will it end? Only at death, I’m afraid and some depressed individuals have already decided to end their lives sooner than later. But, for the rest of us that face these facts of daily life, what are our options?

We have to accept why we are on this planet in the first place. Assuming we have only one crack at a lifetime, we get to make the most out of it as possible. Through our own free will and perhaps some divine intervention, we control our fate. We can choose to allow the constant bombardment of negativity ruin our psyche, or ignore the obvious taunts and move forward with a good attitude. It’s takes a commitment and constant effort to overcome the flow of obstacles, but it can be done. It begins with the simple things.
