My hopes for your life is that God comforts you on all of your difficult days that will come……

Smiles that will intrude you during your sad days that too will also come during your life… Multiple rainbow to follow the clouds……. Much laughter to feed your lips which can cause you to speak life into someone else because YOU are in a good place within yourself!! Genuine friendships that can help build character and of course brighten your days!

Beauty for your eyes to see that life is not a bad choice and that it is indeed WORTH living because God granted you the gift of life so please stop complaining about it! Look and be grateful for the several sunsets that HE has already allowed you to see without holding your past mistakes against you! God is amazing is He not!

Patience with me to hear and accept the truth as I bring it to you in LOVE so that you can get courage to know the real you…… Which can teach you how to seek God’s help for faith so that you will no longer doubt HIM……because He is waiting for YOU to trust HIM in all things…

My Son and His Glad Heart!

image

My son and this man has always shared a special bond….. It is so imperative that men REGARDLESS of what age, have male role models, male mentors, male inspired people in their lives……

Being able to share priceless moments is a blessing and my son appreciates all the male mentors in his life. Besides another male mentor that is in his life, no one can bring a smile to his face like this man.

We actually even talked about no matter what community event or church function we are at and he sees him, he becomes ax excited young man. I told him that I know he indeed loves his father, but he does NOT SMILE, GIGGLE, CHUCKLE, GET EXCITED the same way when he is with his father v.s. this man.

My son met him about 5 -6 years ago and he loved him from day one and my son said to me today that he can tell that he has a good relationship with God. I said yes baby, he is special and has a great deal of characteristics that people just don’t see nor experience anymore from men in ministry.

He said he wish that his father had the same type of Jesus on him!!!! I tried MY BEST to keep my facial expressions together but inside I did know AND UNDERSTAND what my son was speaking about. It is not always about how much time a person spends with my son rather than the impact of what is done for him in the time is spent with him.

Of course I never have or ever will speak harshly about his father to him but kids ARE VERY HONEST about their feelings!! What they see as well as what they feel!!! My son is an Old Soul anyway…

Anyway, this Pastor / Bishop is a very nice……kind ….caring man of God who engages my son’s mind, soul and spirit and I am grateful that their connection was tactfully started years ago and is still very magnetic to my son from the moment he sees him.

This Bishop surely loves people and has a heart for REAL MINISTRY and he carries the scent of compassion that it’s soooooooooooo contagious!!!

GOD has given us the power of choice. We must choose one way or the other, and whatever pathway we choose will lead to a specific destination. If we choose disobedience we end up with curses and every kind of misery; but if we choose life, we are BLESSED.

I often wonder why anyone would choose to be miserable when THEY could be BLESSED; yet multitudes do just that.  (DEUTERONOMY 11:26-28)

Even being a Mentor, we must ALWAYS remember that we too needed guidance! Having an open mind….and an open heart… is a need for growth. Whether a mentor or a mentee – BOTH parties should be obtaining something positive / productive from the relationship.

Doing Your Part

Maintaining a positive attitude keeps a smile on your face and makes you pleasant to be around.  Don’t be deterred by those who don’t believe in the importance of positive thinking.  There are enough other people who will be positively influenced.

Demonstrate the importance of excellence by being the best you can be.  Don’t settle for “good enough” or mediocrity.  You should be able to be proud of the quality of all your work.  Avoid doing the minimum needed to just get by.

Be honorable, trustworthy, and dependable.  Speak out against injustice.  Be your own person.  Don’t go along with the crowd for the sake of acceptance.  Stick up for your friends and don’t bad mouth others.  Be a beacon of integrity.  There are far too many examples of dishonest and unethical behavior.

Don’t be a fair weather friend who is there only when times are good.  It’s when someone is down and out emotionally that they really need someone to turn to.  Be there for them even if you are the only one stepping up.

Set an example of the importance of accountability by taking responsibility for your life and circumstances.  Don’t behave like a victim by blaming others.  Don’t whine and complain.  Demonstrate the importance of a can do attitude by taking action.  Exhibit the benefits of developing effective problem solving skills.

Admit when you are wrong and apologize.  No one is perfect.  Continually strive to improve.  Set an example of humility.  There’s no need to brag or show off, especially when it hurts others.  Take advantage of your strengths while endeavoring to overcome your weaknesses.

Stay young at heart in order to maintain a sense of wonder and excitement.  Maintain an attitude of gratitude for all of the good things in your life you should be thankful for.  Don’t take things or people for granted.

Good Day!

Any time that  you can do ” what thus sayeth the Lord” is indeed a good day right???  Well spending time with individuals who desire to learn and become a better woman, a better mother, a better wife, a better sister, a better friend, a better Christian and just an overall better person to function within society is just the motivation that keeps me going.

Helping people is like second nature because it is not only a desire, not only how I was raised / groomed but it is a HUGE attribute of Christ!!

You do NOT have to place a title on the things that you do for people……Just do it and have a GOOD DAY!

No need to call yourself a Mentor  or Life Coach << new term that drives me just a TAD BIT BONKERS! Whatever happened to people just doing things to be NICE or just to teach them with NO STRINGS attached? Help someone out without expecting anyting in return or telling anyone of “your supposedly good works” and have a GOOD DAY!

Ugghh….

Mentoring

There are many types of mentoring relationships, and it is essential to understand the differences and nuances prior to cultivating and entering into a mentoring agreement. What characteristics do you seek—formal or informal, mandatory or optional, short term or long term?

One of the most important distinctions is whether the mentoring relationship is considered formal or informal. Most mentoring relationships sit somewhere on a continuum between these two extremes. Formal mentoring relationships are often mandatory—leadership assigns mentors to new hires or promising candidates for promotion.

The meetings are scheduled, tracked, documented, and evaluated based on clearly articulated goals and milestones. Informal mentoring relationships are more spontaneous and based on loosely defined results. In fact, many mentoring relationships, while fulfilling the PD needs of the participants, are not acknowledged as such.

Often the mentee enters an informal mentoring relationship because of an intrinsically motivated need to do better. Whereas formal mentoring relationships tend to be more hierarchical, with seniority, status, and even age defining the mentor/protégé relationship, informal mentoring is more likely based on trust or admiration.

Another important thing to remember is that being a Mentor to someone is a blessing and a great opportunity to pour into someone a wealth of knowledge. Event though you are the Mentor, it is also just as important that you learn a variety of things from the people who are your mentees!

Random….

Everyone Needs A Mentor Who Holds Great Substance! I’m always looking for Great Women of God to learn from.

It is my earnest prayer that “you too” be sincere and ask The Lord, to team you up with someone as well! No matter how big or how small the problem is, God can fix it.

There is nothing that God cannot heal! Be encouraged on today and know that this is only for a season. Don’t complain about what YOU may allow to happen in your life. You are in control of your own destiny.

It is up to you, to PUSH your way through the hard struggles. What exactly are you made of? Get to the House of The Lord and you will soon find out. You know how we do.. we go through and want to leave the church! We blame the church, the saints and of course God! Look in the mirror sometimes and you will get the answer that you have been searching for……

I am not saying that walking with Christ is a bed of roses! However, Faith makes things POSSIBLE, not EASY! You may say that you desire to have your life sitting easy and pretty, but the truth of the matter is, you don’t!

We all like a “good fight.” So for another year that The Lord has kept you and brought you through to see 2005, Make a Convenant to stop complaining! Whatever happens…. let it happen….. it will be alright!
