Elderly Love –

Respecting your elders should be a common sense approach in general in regards to dealing with them – Although with it almost being 2013 the RESPECT factor has slimmed down like never before. So much wisdom runs off of the very sleeves of a great deal of elderly individuals that some generations either take it for granted or just plumb do not care.

Well I have a need for their wisdom as well as them – the very fact that they are STILL alive and in their right minds blesses me. The stories that they sit and tell me and the things that they joyfully instill in me is a major help to me.

Who would not desire to sit and eat up all of the information that a wise women or man had to offer these days? Last time I checked, America was in shambles and A MASSIVE PERCENTAGE of the church LEADERS was / is in trouble so why not may I ask?

I will listen – maybe it is because how I was raised and my own personal desire to be taught! There is such a rich HARVEST amongst wise individuals that you have no choice but to grow if you are open and have good clean / untainted soil within yourself!

Respecting them ALONE is prime legacy for a better ME.

Relationships

Ms. Della!

I have known this little nice lady for over a year and even at her old age she is challenged by so many things and they seem to find a way to break her down most days. She has shown me how to be more compassionate in dealing with “certain situations” with women with a past like hers. It is VERY easy sometimes to judge others when you are unaware of what the whole situation may be. I have had the pleasure of ministering with Ms. Della and it has changed my life FOR THE BETTER.

The inescapable fact in life is that, one-day, we will become an elder and HOPEFULLY we will have someone to take care of us!

However, the importance of respecting elders should not just be for that reason. We should give respect to elders for a number of reasons. Not least of these is that at least two of our elders brought us into this world, and they nurtured, cared and educated us until we were able to fly the nest and care for ourselves.

Most elders have invested a lot of time and effort into making our lives better, providing us with opportunities and been there to share in our joys and sorrows.

In addition to this, people who have been around this world a lot longer than us have a lot to offer. They have acquired knowledge and wisdom, which if respected they are willing to share with us. They have also had experiences and therefore can help to guide us through problems that may arise in out life.

Finally, we should treat our elders, and all other people we come into contact with, with the respect that we would want them to extend to us.

A Mother’s Love + A Daughter’s Respect = Grateful Admiration

What can I say about the relationship that  I have with my Mother, Georgia M. Coleman?

The way that I see how children of this generation disrespect their adults, the elderly and just people in AUTHORITY as a whole really just baffles me to no end. It seems as if another September 11th would has to happen to make people recall their values.

My mother CHOSE to have me and not abort me…..

My mother CHOSE to love me…..

My mother CHOSE to guide me…..

My mother CHOSE to teach me the fundamentals of life….

My mother CHOSE to show me how to be a lady……

My mother CHOSE to teach me to fear The Lord……..

My mother CHOSE to share her life with me……

My mother CHOSE to pray for me……

My mother CHOSE to make our house a home……

My mother CHOSE to live by example……

If you cannot tell…..I think that my mother is just simply AMAZING!
