Who Is In Office?

Oval%20Office020

Ummmm… last time that I checked…. A United States President “represented” power and he or she ( Hillary 2016 ) was able to make MAJOR EXECUTIVE DECISIONS without the “okay” from congress…….. ( folk that represent the 50 states within the United States )…….

For a mega power county leader to NOT make a decision because he wanted “others” to be apart of the process is MIND BOGGLING to me…. I mean if you want CONGRESS “to help you” to decide…. WHY ARE YOU IN OFFICE? For all that , I should have AT LEAST ran for office…..

I mean the WORLD is watching and I am sure that although this is President Barack Obama’s last term in office he is thinking of his legacy. Well, Mr. President, there are tons of other things that has already transpired during your two terms so your legacy will NOT look like Lyndon B. Johnson, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy or Bill Clinton.

I mean – is this really AMERICA in this crisis right now? Families of military troops are all excited that the United States has been slowly but surely being pulled from the Middle East……. but if we know our great country of AMERICA – those same troops that were promised a date to “go home” with their families will be DETOURED TO SYRIA!

Ugghh… I wish that the country that I lived in operated with more BACKBONE – and why did no one care about SUDAN when ( and still ) going through all of the killings….. MASS MURDERING / RAPES etc???

Every belief that citizens try to express politically is rooted in some philosophy or religion or some set of assumptions about society and its
well-being. They do not come from out of nowhere. Religiously-based convictions about society and morality are as legitimate as those that spring from non-religious philosophies. Hence, Christians, Muslims, or Jews may seek to get laws passed that are rooted in their religious convictions. Such laws are appropriate as long as they have a secular purpose and do not constitute an establishment of religion.

Whether these laws are wise or worthy of enactment must be judged by whether they promote the common good as judged by national values not by the fact that they are or are not rooted in the religious faith of those who support them.

A religious foundation is neither required not forbidden. Neither secular humanism nor religious faith is privileged in this regard. Ideally and in principle, religious believers should not seek to get laws passed on religious grounds but because they express the values of the secular society. These norms and goals are defined by the founding documents and cultural traditions as they have come to be embedded in the common life. For example, if people of faith want to crusade for universal health coverage, e. g., they should argue for the policy not because the Bible or the Pope authorizes it or because God wills it but because it promotes “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and because Congress is constitutionally permitted to spend money to provide for the “general welfare.”

Likewise, religious groups that seek to outlaw racial or gender discrimination should make their case on the claim that it would be good for society as a whole not on the fact that it is authorized by their religious faith.  In practical terms, however, if believers feel that distinguishing between the religious
basis and the political implications of their faith is an intolerable splitting of a unitary set of beliefs, then let them act accordingly. If  people actually
convince other voters to support legislation because the Bible, the Pope, Buddhist teachings, the Koran, or church doctrine mandates it, not much can be done about it except to make an effort to persuade them that there is a better way.

TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We cannot determine or control the reasons why people vote or support the policies they do or prevent them from convincing others to do the same. In the voting booth citizens are a law unto themselves. They can vote for whatever or whoever they want for any reason that motivates them. It is pointless to demand purity of principle on this matter. Voters act out of prejudice, self-interest, racial identity, ignorance, and for all sorts of other good and bad reasons, including their religious beliefs, philosophical commitments, and a devotion to justice based on American principles. Let us be realists about the matter.

Democracy is an untidy, often VERY messy,  matter…..IF you do not believe me… look at AMERCIA! Ugghhhhh……

The people can do what they want restrained only by Constitutional mandates. But it is better when acting politically in the public arena for believers to translate  religiously-based beliefs into the traditions, language, and values of the secular order. This is called for as a matter of principle. It is advisable pragmatically as well, since the tying of policy or voting explicitly to the tenets of a particular
religion, denomination, or sect may repel  large number of voters and hinder rather than further the cause.

Hide the Microphone….

Vice President Joe Biden speaks at Keene State College , Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Keene, N.H. (AP Photo/Jim Cole)

I know that Vice President Biden is tired of being in the shadow of President Obama but what ELSE did you think that your job description would be as Vice President? He really needs something to do before he disrupts the presidency anymore! Yes, I do get it and so does a great deal of other AMERICAN people via his odd and very untimely behavior in regards to what is done in the Oval Office.  LOL

Of course the president does not have the guts….nor heart….nor public relations plan to REMOVE Biden and obtain a totally different running mate but for goodness sake- “train him”…..

He has had so many mishaps since he has been in his position that it embarrasses the country and I am sure that it MORDIFIES The White House! Do you ever notice how quiet that his wife is? She is  a professor at a nearby university and just maybe is enjoying the  PERKS of being the wife of the vice president!

He does not seem to have the ability to connect with the people of America…….and to some that may seem like its no big deal because he is only the vice president right? Well… this vice president actually wants and loves to be seen and heard – so this could pose yet another problem or another gunt wrenching opportunity for this vice president to SPEAK TO SOON or say too much about key topics!

Obama and The Black Community

image

Okay…..

I dont get why the black community is JUST NOW noticing that the current president does not step up AND follow through on sensitive issues. This has been this current Presidents style sadly….. He acts soo timid about certain topics it is reallllllly embarrassing.. Welp….no one makes a big deal unless things like Trayvon Martin happens……

I mean you have people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson loving their opportunity to be at the forefront of another media opportunity…GEESH….

I mean..via Trayvon Martin……..trust me I am saddened to hear about another black kid being killed but why get mad at President Obama now!!!!!?????

There are TONS of other issues that Obama has failed to speak out on since he has been in that Oval Office…. The president has always seemed a tad SLOW speaking up for legislation that wont get him votes.

His quiet political correctness has had his popularity ratings so low that it makes you think that Ronald Reagan and George W Bush is back in office!

Oh goodness…..I hope that the black community would study…learn…understand…..support….participate in the political process REGARDLESS if the Commander in Chief is black….rwd…white or yellow!

Stop expecting President Obama to be the great saviour or the great black knight to save all black peoples issues…

He is not God…. He scared to speak…He gets stressed and shows how unsure he is over certain things by what he does and dont do as well..

Obama wont get re elected….I would be sooooooooo shocked if this great speaking……jelly back….cool…black…man did.

Speaking well is great but it takes more than being a great speaker to successfully rin a country….Especially a mega power country….

Sad thing is that if Pres Obama does not win the next presidential election that a lottttttt of blacks will go BACK to not caring about politics…

So sad….but it is soooo true! Also what is wrong with producer Spike Lee needing attention like a child?

Spike Lee tweeting an address is yet another mess….. Geesh….

He is a celebrity and would be crying if I tweeted his address and posted pics of where his kids go to school right! What Spike Lee did was wrong regardless if it was Zimmermans address or not.

Well Spike may just be trying to find new ways to stay revelant because Tyler Perry has the whole spotlight via black producers.

Spike does not understand that in success you take turns!

Oh my black people makes me scratch my head for the concern via the lack of soo many silly things that my people do.

Lord help…..Goodness..

Friday FREEDOM

no one is THAT busy regardless if they appear to be! if the president of the united states can make the time to leave the oval office and go to a burger joint – then what are some of your excuses for today? ……. some may say that he does this type of antics for publicity – well the current president has been liking burgers before he became the commander and chief and him grabbing the microphone to sing a little here and there shows that he is a little on the “normal side” as well… NO! I am not campainging for a 2012 shout out for the current president but I wanted to use his status as an example…..

MY POINT is that we all know people or more sadly…have these types of individuals in our lives that always seem to be / say they are too busy to:

1. asnwer their phones

2. return your phone calls

3. show up at meetings on time

4. be available for you on YOUR TIME and not theirs

5. or just lend you their listening ear ( their good ear )

Know that YOU are worth their time and a slew of other folks time as well….. because you are indeed worth it!
