Copycat Maybe?

The Following intertitle.png

There has been a show that I started watching called The Following. I first  like any other show although it was on Season 2 and I felt that I was too behind to catch up, I thought that  may be watching for recreational time would “suffice”. However after the 2nd episode, the Lord indeed showed me that it was for a purpose.

The show has a great story line because it is really based upon how a CULT in 2014 could happen – how it obtains its followers, how the leader manipulates existing followers to recruit new followers.

It comes on EST on Mondays at  9pm on FOX – with Kevin Bacon – there are certain parts that I would call my son Jared in to watch with me and as a scene would happen, I would quickly explain to him how it happened and what he should do in an instance like this etc.

From things happening at restaurants, bus stops and most importantly school settings – Which comes to the point of this blog post –  On a scale from 1 to 10 my son’s current school district is considered an “7.75” and the next town over is a  “8.5 ”  so of course wanting my son to obtain a BETTER education I was pondering on a few things.

However, this morning in a “neighboring” school district that I have been contemplated moving into for the last year has had a tragic morning – I INDEED believe that this HORRIFIC incident that transpired was connected to the TV show, The Following –  I am NOT saying that the high school student was apart of a cult but “spiritually speaking”…….. you have to watch just only one episode of the show in regards to what happened to see what I am saying.

PT Conference, Here I Come!

On my way to pick up my baby to head to his little 5th grade Parent / Teacher Conference…. Please let EVERYTHING be of a good report! He has been blessed to have been on Honor Roll since he has been in Pre – K.

Well, Math is something he is very good in and I would have to give that gene credit to his father….. He aces math like its nobody’s business! I think math is ” alright ” I guess…. However, I think that my son’s father may have been just a little gifted in math which has made my homework time with my son EASY………Thank goodness.

Wish me well and if all goes welll, this conference should be a fly by night meeting that last no longer than 30 minutes AT TOPS!

Drum roll PLEASE……….

Dear ( ME )

Morning Glory –

Being able to wake up in my right mind, God in my life, Love in my heart, having the use of all of my limbs and motor skills, a roof over my head, transportation to get around, a family that is SOMEWHAT in tact ” to whatever degree” …. my momma doing very well, financially better and a desire to be a better person is MORNING GLORY to me…

Even taking away transportation – I still have MORNING GLORY. The little things have always been my big things and even more so now. Just thinking of how many people are trying to just mentally wrap their minds around what transpired over the last few days via Hurricane Sandy is baffling.

I have NOT complained about a single things since the storm hit the states of New York, New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. LIFE is precious and it is amazing of the tiny things that we constantly take for granted.  Lord send HELP to those areas…

Helping Self...

Timing-

Geesh!, It has been forever since I have been on –  but I have been so busy that I could hardly almost focus some days! Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much has been going on and I am STILL trying to figure out what to do “with it all”…….There is never enough time in the day or I am just trying to do just way too- too too much!

Whether I am Relocating or just moving to a different neighborhood, it seems to always be like a mini major mile stone!  The only thing that keeps me coming in and out of Pennsylvania is my mother – nothing more and nothing less…. There are other siblings but no one “looks after her” like I do and she knows that as well. So eventually moving to either one of those two coutnries that I used to blog about for months will have to be placed on hold.

Nonetheless, always “jumping in and out of the car” and going from state to state is something that seems to be very tiresome but it something that I will continue to do “for my mom”…. In no way, shape or form am I trying to kill her off or wish her dead but I will certainly stay close to Pennsylvania driving distance as long as she is alive!

I have visited New Jersey and loved a great deal of the areas like Alpine! Whew Jesus, is it so beautiful there!!! I have been going back and forth via the Maryland, Virginia and D.C. area for the last few years and it takes a TOLL on the body! It is so amazing that my son manages to have NEVER missed a day of school and I am grateful for that! He is so amazing… he does not care how often we just get up and go as long as he is with me he seems to stay happy! LOL

Oh also, as long as one of his friends gets to tag along as well, he stays busy with activities and he gets to see his grandmother every week he has no complaints! ( thank God )

Another Trip!

Oh how it is sad sometimes as parents when we SHIFT our kids off to camps over the summer! Nonetheless, just as the kids need their space, so DO WE LOL!

Talking to my mom about my son being gone so much over the summer, you know she is from a totaly different generation so after this trip, her facil expression was like…this is it! LOL

Well, I do not really feel that the way she feels is 100% via her generation, but more so the way that this current world is that we live in – #horrid! It is very crazy out here and with the Penn State and Jerry Sandusky / Joe Paterno foolishness, that does not make her feel any better! Well me either, but the camps that I have sent my little LOVE MUFFIN to, I prayed about them and felt comfortable so I allowed him to go….

This camp is actually from the church that my son is a member of so there was really no need for any panic…. NOT SAYING that nothing happens in “the church” because we all know that NOT to be totally true….. He was so overjoyed to get packed up and to go because his friends were also going on this trip, which made it all worth it to him! LOL

As much as I feel that I have been needing a break lately due to my WHOLE LIFE literally revolving aroudn my son – when it was time for the bus to pull out – I was sad!……

My son jumped on the bus so FAST – I could not really get MY PROPER MOMMY HUG! I tell that boy, you never know when it may be the last time that you see a loved one, so when you are departing from one another…give love! I understand he was with his friends – but give me a QUICK HUG – give a HIGH FIVE – just give me something right?

Yes, I went to his window to talk to him – pray with him AGAIN and remind him to be good!

One of his other friends came over to say hello and to get in the picture – BYE boys!

Politics

Covered Up No Longer –

Welp…. you may not recognize the blue cover but that finger standing straight up most college football fans and participants just might! This is the statue of the ex famous pro family. pro child advocate, Joe Paterno……  also known as ” J O – PA “……

The covers has been pulled off and things unfortunately after soo soo many years are being dealt with…. Penn State tearing down the statue is just ONE thing they are showing the public and most importantly the families of the victims that they are trying to ” RECTIFY ” as much damage as they can….

I find it silly that the Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Corbett, is the one that STARTED THE INVESTIGATION and not one single person from Penn State University….. which shows how FAR UP the cover up went of course…..

It is very interesting that the people involved or had the authority to speak up and out are STILL obtaining a pay check while they are on leave AND the people that quit or was terminated STILL are able to get their PENSION!!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE >>>> even Sandusky!!!!  This case makes you LOVE America and respect the political foolishness that this wonderful “allows”…. UGGHHHH

How about this one >>> If Penn State University chose to tear down the statue – then why CONTINUE to let his family get the proceeds of  “his pension” that is worth MILLIONS! UGGHH

The NCAA President decided not to give the football program the death penalty which I feel was fair PREDICATED they obtain a new brand new coaching staff…..but major “kuddos” for the board losing out on multiple scholarships as well as bowl appearances…

scandalous Politics and Red tape are two ugly things!
