Just because Thanksgiving Day has passed, there’s no reason to stop being grateful……..
Something that has brought a positive change in my life recently has been the practice of turning negative statements around and finding something in the circumstance for which to be grateful.
“I am thankful for my 11 year old – PRE -teen-ager who complained about doing dishes BEFORE he left to go with his dad, because that means he is at home, not out on the streets somewhere.
“I am thankful for the taxes that I pay, because it means that I’m employed. “I am thankful for the mess I have to clean up at my house, because it means I’m more fortunate than thousands of people around the world. I have a home.
“I am thankful for the clothes that fit a little too snugly, because it means I have plenty to eat. “I’m thankful for my shadow that watches me work, because it means I’m outside in the sunshine. “I am thankful for my mother’s house SMELLING HORRIBLE of cooking gizzards..chitlings etc… because that means that she is STILL ALIVE to drive me insane of eating these nasty things and making my clothes stink” LOL
“I’m thankful for my oldest son who is in college being moody over the last few weeks but he makes me smile everytime he CHOOSES to text and call me. Also for my daughter being even MORE moodier but smiles when she emails me.
“I’m thankful for all the complaining about government and politics, because it reminds me I live in a country that allows me freedom of speech. “I’m thankful for the parking spot I found all the way at the end of the lot, because it means I have the strength and ability to walk the distance.
“I’m thankful for my heating bill, because it means I am warm. “I’m thankful for the lady behind me in church who sings off-key, because it means I am blessed with the gift of hearing. “I’m thankful for the pile of laundry that reminds me that I — and my family — have plenty of clothes to wear.
“I’m thankful for weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means I’m capable of working hard and making a contribution to the lives of others. “I’m thankful each day when the alarm goes off, and I hear it, because it means I’m still alive. There is still time to serve God and others. There are still opportunities to make a difference.
“Each day is a gift. Each burden holds a blessing, and every moment of life offers an opportunity that will come only once in a lifetime.
“I am thankful — just because — I am.”
Remind yourself to take a break AND breath…… Also even though there’s a great deal of things that you still desire to do, it is ALL about God’s timing.. God is in control in the midst of every hell and fire storm… Be encouraged and maintain your salvation so that you can continually be a witness.
Be happy even when horrid things happen. .. .. Yes, its crazy but God knew YOU before you even entered into your mother’s womb… Put Christ first and things will get just a little bit easier in MOST cases. Get out of yoir own way BUT more importantly, get out of God’s way…. He is waiting! LOL
Remember, like in the book of Jeremiah, He knows the plans for you, so try to stay calm…In layman’s terms….God isn’t tripping because HE already knew how your life would be from the #beginning AND the #end…
So continue to walk in love..pray for more wisdom and allow God to work on a better you. The inside is what counts and your relationship with Christ will always be your TOP priority. ..
Allow the voice of the spirit guide you and tell your flesh MORE OFTEN.
Best Regards and Passionately Signed,
YOU, ME and SELF
Okay – a great deal of people do not like this show called Preachers of LA ..but I actually like the show – Each and every one of these pastors are VERY different in their own right –
Yes, there are some things that may have you scratch your head at times when watching the reality show – BUT do we ALL not do things that have folks scratching their heads as well? Truth be told – if someone offered you a chance to be on a reality television show and you had the control to display how the audience would perceive you – based upon YOUR OWN ACTIONS………………
I AM SURE at least 90 percent of folk would do it – whether it was for fame – money – opportunity or just plain fun! Honey- the video below, I hope you do enjoy because there is nothing like some good preachin…….
Did you know that a smile is contagious? It costs nothing to give, but reaps great rewards for both the receiver and the giver. A Smile Spreads Good Cheer!
Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said, “Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.”
It’s amazing that your simple smile can brighten someone’s day in a moment’s notice. Too often we underestimate the power of a smile. Although it may be considered the smallest act of caring and it takes little or no effort on our part, it has the power to turn a life around—in fact more than one. Like the ripple effect of a pebble tossed into a pond, your smile will spread far beyond the first person who receives it. You never know how many people will benefit because you smiled first.
Whatever you are trying to get people to believe / think / do is a plan for discipleship – trainers – ceo’s etc. In church it is in the name of God……… In an organization it is in the name and In a company it is in the name of the mighty dollar. However, focusing on DISCIPLESHIP is my goal at the moment.Discipleship is not the management of people or personal development, but it is a system that provides the safe arena of love and commitment in order that God’s people might reach their highest potential.
Discipleship is sharing the life of God in the context of real, loving friendships that are developed into KINGDOM RELATIONSHIPS. Jesus Christ adopted this pattern. Though he used the tool of corporate verbal preaching when dealing with large crowds – He functioned extremely different with the Twelve up close.
Most churches are struggling to succeed and will not carry out their ordained purpose of God if there are no Successors being discipled to carry out the original assignment of that church/ministry without bondage. This is some serious business and it is imperative that WE THE PEOPLE “get it right and get ourselves together”……. Thanks Hester!
I do not understand as people why we feel the NEED to constantly apologize or desire for people to understand your view points, motives, stances etc. The people that are in your life ” BY NOW ” should be people who feed and nurture you ..MIND – BODY – SOUL – SPIRIT.
( MD Hester ) Make this the last time you attempt to clear things up or bring clarity to rumors or accusations concerning you. Especially when the people that are treating you like a “PLAGUE” have no desire to hear the truth nor restore you. Doing this, will restore your ability to get back to CARING about what God thinks about you instead of what people think.
This is witchcraft and idolatry at work. To be FRANK with you….. this is really “how leaders” in CHURCHES and or CULTS brainwash people. Of course, I am NOT talking in referring to to all churches falling to the snares of the devil – but you have to be careful of who YOU CALL your leader…..
The witchcraft controls your emotions and the person(s) become an idol because you care more about what they think of you than you care about being in right standards with God! So why not start NOW to BREAK FREE IN JESUS NAME! …… Do it now before YOU CANT!
