My Son’s PERSONAL Observation –

image

Okay – my son knows about politics and the things that occur in the world via CNN, the regular news stations and the things that I discuss with him – It is going on 9 pm and I am fussing at him in regards to getting himself together for school and he is ironing his clothes while chatting with me all at the same time……

Then from out of no where – he says mom remember every time there is a new POPE for the Catholic Church it is all over the news for days and it takes over the programs on television. I said yes, he said isn’t the POPE in another country and again, I answered yes.

Yall ready for this 11 year old’s child DISCOVERY!!  >>>> His next statement / question to me was this…..

Well mom, I don’t get that President Nelson Mandela died and he did so much for blacks and whites, was in jail and forgave the people for being mean to him then ran for president right? AGAIN … I said yes baby – He states, why didnt the media cover Nelson Mandela’s funeral on most of all the news channels like they do when they vote for a new POPE or when PEOPLE FROM ENGLAND GET MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!

Okay y’all, that was enough for me right there!! Whew – my son is indeed amazing! I taught him good and God surely is molding his little mind for such a time as this!

God Bless and Good Night!!

Just recall that back to your memory as you take 1 step forward into your destiny and the enemy is there day after day, time after time trying to set traps up for you. When the road(s) get tough, because they WILL, just praise God. The more that you say Yes Lord!, the more strength God will give you to endure. The More You Bless God, The More God Blesses You!

No matter how big or how small the problem is, God can fix it. There is nothing that God cannot heal! Be encouraged on today and know that this is only for a season. Don’t complain about what YOU may allow to happen in your life. You are in control of your own destiny. It is up to you, to PUSH your way through the hard struggles.

What exactly are you made of? Get to the House of The Lord and you will soon find out.  Make sure that you have people in your corner who can genuinely be there for you in your time (s) of need and maintain a few good accountability partners.

You know how we do…. we go through and want to leave the church! We blame the church, the saints and of course God! Look in the mirror sometimes and you will get the answer that you have searched for…… I am not saying that walking with Christ is a bed of roses! However, Faith makes things POSSIBLE, not EASY!

worshipworshipworship

You may say that you desire to have your life sitting easy and pretty, but the truth of the matter is, you don’t! We all like a “good fight.”

So for another year that The Lord has kept you and brought you through to see 2013, Make a Convenant to stop complaining!

Every belief that citizens try to express politically is rooted in some philosophy or religion or some set of assumptions about society and its
well-being. They do not come from out of nowhere. Religiously-based convictions about society and morality are as legitimate as those that spring from non-religious philosophies. Hence, Christians, Muslims, or Jews may seek to get laws passed that are rooted in their religious convictions. Such laws are appropriate as long as they have a secular purpose and do not constitute an establishment of religion.

Whether these laws are wise or worthy of enactment must be judged by whether they promote the common good as judged by national values not by the fact that they are or are not rooted in the religious faith of those who support them.

A religious foundation is neither required not forbidden. Neither secular humanism nor religious faith is privileged in this regard. Ideally and in principle, religious believers should not seek to get laws passed on religious grounds but because they express the values of the secular society. These norms and goals are defined by the founding documents and cultural traditions as they have come to be embedded in the common life. For example, if people of faith want to crusade for universal health coverage, e. g., they should argue for the policy not because the Bible or the Pope authorizes it or because God wills it but because it promotes “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and because Congress is constitutionally permitted to spend money to provide for the “general welfare.”

Likewise, religious groups that seek to outlaw racial or gender discrimination should make their case on the claim that it would be good for society as a whole not on the fact that it is authorized by their religious faith.  In practical terms, however, if believers feel that distinguishing between the religious
basis and the political implications of their faith is an intolerable splitting of a unitary set of beliefs, then let them act accordingly. If  people actually
convince other voters to support legislation because the Bible, the Pope, Buddhist teachings, the Koran, or church doctrine mandates it, not much can be done about it except to make an effort to persuade them that there is a better way.

TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We cannot determine or control the reasons why people vote or support the policies they do or prevent them from convincing others to do the same. In the voting booth citizens are a law unto themselves. They can vote for whatever or whoever they want for any reason that motivates them. It is pointless to demand purity of principle on this matter. Voters act out of prejudice, self-interest, racial identity, ignorance, and for all sorts of other good and bad reasons, including their religious beliefs, philosophical commitments, and a devotion to justice based on American principles. Let us be realists about the matter.

Democracy is an untidy, often VERY messy,  matter…..IF you do not believe me… look at AMERCIA! Ugghhhhh……

The people can do what they want restrained only by Constitutional mandates. But it is better when acting politically in the public arena for believers to translate  religiously-based beliefs into the traditions, language, and values of the secular order. This is called for as a matter of principle. It is advisable pragmatically as well, since the tying of policy or voting explicitly to the tenets of a particular
religion, denomination, or sect may repel  large number of voters and hinder rather than further the cause.

Elderly Love –

Respecting your elders should be a common sense approach in general in regards to dealing with them – Although with it almost being 2013 the RESPECT factor has slimmed down like never before. So much wisdom runs off of the very sleeves of a great deal of elderly individuals that some generations either take it for granted or just plumb do not care.

Well I have a need for their wisdom as well as them – the very fact that they are STILL alive and in their right minds blesses me. The stories that they sit and tell me and the things that they joyfully instill in me is a major help to me.

Who would not desire to sit and eat up all of the information that a wise women or man had to offer these days? Last time I checked, America was in shambles and A MASSIVE PERCENTAGE of the church LEADERS was / is in trouble so why not may I ask?

I will listen – maybe it is because how I was raised and my own personal desire to be taught! There is such a rich HARVEST amongst wise individuals that you have no choice but to grow if you are open and have good clean / untainted soil within yourself!

Respecting them ALONE is prime legacy for a better ME.
