Good Girlfriends –

image

Have you ever asked yourself if you a good person, and do you push the act of empowering strength to other women? What do you bring to the table in a good girlfriend relationship? A great deal of women think that they are not able to find and maintain good girlfriends… but guess what,, YOU CAN!

We all have our specific qualities and in a friendship, we must to have something that benefits the other person if we are to be of value. What is it that you provide? Dependability? An ear to listen? Good advice? Positive feedback?

We have all had a friend or two that may have a few negative qualities but you try to love them through thier process. Do not ever jump into the gossip rut or complaining trap or do you empower and boost women and cheer them on?

If you find you’re not a positive influence on your friends, you can easily develop some skills to be more so. Keep in mind, if you have negative friends and you become more positive, they may take a while to catch on to the new, more positive you or may choose to leave the friendship. However, when you even meet new friends is a blessing when the spirit of UNITY is there

Women who gain attention by always complaining are unlikely to warm up to a positive-minded person. After all, being positive means taking responsibility for your choices, situation and life and this is completely opposite of what negative people do.

Five great qualities to bring to the friendship table:

Dependability – Dependability is underrated. If you are a dependable friend with personal boundaries, you are priceless. Without personal boundaries, many dependable friends get taken advantage of.
Respect – Respect is earned, not aged into. If you respect your friends and what they stand for and it is mutual, your bonds will be stronger and more long lasting than others.
Positive Feedback – A realistic positive outlook and encouragement are two of the most powerful things you can give a friend in crisis.
Alternate Perspective – Looking at a situation from a different perspective is crucial to making good decisions. Helping a friend to do this is admirable.
Honesty – Honesty is not synonymous with agreement. Tough love is sometimes necessary in friendships and is appreciated by true friends.

The Mindset of Some Cultures

Although this is a cartoon BUT there is truth all through it. I mean really, which headstone is Trayvon Martin? Martin Luther King Jr.? Emmett Till? Darrell Turner Jr? and thousands of other black INNOCENT males? Huh?

Point is that I do not EVER want any of these tombstones to be be connected to or be a representative for anyone who did no wrong to be there.

Let alone yet ANOTHER “racial profile” black male..  Let alone either one if MY OWN sons!

Sooo Inappropriate for a 12 yr old –

I can see it now….. I am NOT speaking as if I would want a 12-year-old little girl to go down the wrong path but….seriously the lyrics of this girl’s song and the company that she is keeping in the video, as well as how she is dressed, the piercings, tattoos etc… I get allowing your children to “start the process’ of discovering who they are…. but this is like Baby, DO YOU! However, I see her mom Jada Pinkett Smith when I see Willow –

Hey, do not take MY WORD for it – view the video yourself…..

Yes!!!! Everyone does parent differently and come from different backgrounds..however, if she is permitted to “discover herself ” too early what will she be like when she turns 16? By the way, that is STILL young too!

QUESTION – Why is a 12 year old child singing about a summer fling? What would they know about the word fling? uuggghh..

I unfortunately also see a little Rhianna MIXED with Lady Gaga transforming before my very eyes….. Well, sex early..drugs….scandal..tabloids..GET READY because for her to be 12 years old and already experiencing so many things as well as a overly spoiled HOLLYWOOD child…things dont look to good.

Happiness — it’s what we all strive to find and keep, even when it’s as elusive as ever. Nobody is happy all the time, but some people are definitely more fulfilled than others. Studies reveal that happiness has little to do with material goods or high achievement; it boils down to your outlook on life, the quality of your relationships, and basic amenities like good governance and community resources.

Look at the glass half-full instead of half-empty.  Now you have the opportunity to find a better one! Adjust your mentality so that, in everything that happens to you, there’s some kernel of good.

Think of your current situation (however hard it may be) and then think of how much harder some other people have it. Just be happy that you are not in that worse situation. Learn to enjoy your life!

The Name of The Game is Called – Balance!

image

In spite of us being at a funeral all morning and afternoon…..
Life still went on and I was totally tapped out.

Emotionally and Physically, I just didn’t want to do anything after the very emotional roller coaster that I was on and soooooooooooo didn’t even want to end. Nope I really didnt because I felt like the old me when I was around my old church family-friendly sainta!!!

Nonetheless, there was only time for one persob to change their clothes…..and it was my son because he had a basketball game.

Did it matter that I didnt feel like going? Nope… Did it matter that I was emotionally exhausted? Nope…. Did it matter that I have BALANCE and allow my son to go to his basketball game and he have my full attention AND support?

Absolutely!!! I know enough parents in MINISTRY / CHURCH sometimes do NOT understand balance and place the ministry over Family things which is soooooooooooo wrong and out of order!!!
