Dear ( ME )

Is Being Bored A Bad Thing?

How to Be a Happy Single Womanthumbnail

One day, I will get a change to do this!! I YES! By the looks of the photo above, I am thinking that being bored would be a GREAT IDEA for me! I want to know what it will feel like not to have any meetings to go to via church, attend any church nightly services, political things, Parent Teacher Conferences, my son won’t have to go to baseballl, basketball or soccer practice – When that day happens – I will just post a blog with a huge smile on my face!

Some people complain about being bored or super bored…. Well listen, what does that FEEL LIKE? Please let me try it! I don’t want to hear a cell phone ringing  ( and I have 3 that I use for different things ) I don’t want to hear my home telephone ring, I wont check any emails and I will tell my son to even cut off his cell phone and to just go in his room and read a book!

Helping Self...

Networking With Positivity –

You’ll attract what you depict about yourself. So if you want to be with / or around a certain type of person then you have to display it in all facades, mentally, physically and spiritually.

I remind my son daily that although it is important to have a variety of friends. Having manners, saying please and thank you, knowing how to interact with common sense is very basic but indeed VERY vital.

However, if he plays the drums, the tenor saxophone, plays baseball, plays soccer, plays basketball and reads books on a weekly basis – It would NOT be such a great idea if he started hanging around friends who did NOTHING that he participated in. It is like being unequally matched up even as friends.

No your friends should not do everything the same, but it would make sense to spend your time with individuals who are like minded.

I am not speaking of ONLY personal male female relationships…. I am talking in reference to ANY type of places in life that you desire to catapult to.

Winners notice winners and mock what they did or are doing so that they too, can not only become a winner as well but maintain being a winner.

The image you portray yields the person you’ll draw to you so don’t get mad at what’s coming to you…check the mirror and see what you’re displaying!

Interesting Day!

We had such a good day today!!!! He was able to spend time with his other parent after his soccer game and just relax and have fun….. My other son had me laughing in stitches and trying to figure out when I would meet his girlfriend …. these college kids!

My son was trying seriously to convince me why he needed more xbox 360 Kinect Games! LOL

He smiled for the camera…hoping and praying that his face would melt my heart…….nope!!!! not so!

He began to start his speech like he was running for political office on the importance of this Soccer Game! LOL

He wanted to show me the comparison in prices with different games to show me that I would be getting a deal if I purchased them for him all today!!! This boy is indeed my son because he knows how to debate and present a case very well!!!

AFTER….my son twisted my arm to get him a few more games…..he left very happy and couldn’t wait to get in the car to head home…..

When you sit back & see some things from AFAR….God will show, expose and uncover some things you missed when you were UP CLOSE!! I am so glad that I am able to REALLY see clearly now… My son and I have endured and overcame a great deal of things and we are walking testimonies!

He was tired of taking pictures, so he acted as if he fell asleep! Overall this child had an amazing day and it is still early!

Saturday Sincerity-

wpid-20130105_114438.jpgMy son had a soccer game today and did VERY VERY well…. his team won, the score was 12 to 5 and he made 3 of the points and made 2 saves as well! I felt that things that went on with him today was full of sincerity……it was LONG OVERDUE as well.

As you can see….. my baby was on a move and a mission trying to make a play! I was / am so proud of him… it is a blessing to be able to see your kids have fun, be active and happy. He really is a good ( SPOILED ) respectful child..

wpid-20130105_115522.jpgHis father ACTUALLY CAME TO HIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, that is a great deal of exclamation points… you guys know  a few of my previous posts about the father situation… God is moving and I pray that things continue to flow….( for my son’s sake )

My son was so happy and as a mom, indeed so was I….. He came bearing gifts! ( my son has everything seriosuly….but that isnt the point! )

wpid-20130105_150607.jpgMy baby is grateful when ANYONE blesses him but when it is someone who has the ability to touch his heart strings makes him feel like he is on Cloud 9. Seeing my son baby happy ……is a feeling that I cannot describe. It is is sooooooo important for BOTH parents to be involved in their children’s lives. Sons and daughters NEED both their mothers and fathers because each party pours different things into them. That is how God intended it……this is how I would love for it to be as well.

Welp…. my baby is going to yet another camp for the summer and he is excited AND SO AM I!!! This is the first year that he has been to so many camps but it has been good for both of us…. Alone time for myself and he started feeling more independent….. The only thing he stated was …Mom just dont leave me at a camp for more than 2 weeks! LOL Which I would never do…. because I already know that we BOTH would miss one another way too much!

Sending my son to camp during the summer provides him with chances to expand  his skills, make friends and experience unusual opportunities.

I swear to goodness that I SO LOVE AND ENJOY being a parent to this little boy! He has his days of course but so do I!! LOL This has been a challenging 2012 for us both and we have managed to get through it.. thank you Lord…

Anyway……school starts in 3 weeks and we both will be having an extended vacation….. Fall baseball starting… Swim Team, Band and of course Soccer!

Wow – Really?

Okay my son LOVES watching and playing soccer and after seeing this, I said oh!!! I see why America is the ONLY  country that calls this sport FOOTBALL and not SOCCER !

I think that I would jump out of my seat in a stadium if I saw something like this happen to my son! GEESH….. These guys certainly are not displaying role model behavior!

From 4th Grade to High School!

Umm… as a parent to an almost 10 year old little boy – usually parents WANT their kids to stay young or at least desire to watch their kids “grow gracefully” right? Welp, that used to be ME! My son had his little mini field trip today to his new school since he is entering into 5th grade for the upcoming school year and he just seem so much OLDER and a tad bit wiser for his age. Nonetheless, “at this very moment” I wish that he was getting ready to enter into high school. YIKES… I never thought that I would say that phrase “before it was time” seriously…

Do not get me wrong…. my son is NOT a bad kid – although “lately” I have indeed wanted to choke him and hold him down too many times due to his irritating behavior and moods. Yes he is a boy and going through things and I am almost even scared to think that he is dealing with early puberty stuff….. UGGGHHH that would so not be fun! LOL But hey, even though that talking session about how his body is changing should be a Father and Son conversation – we are so close that I am sure that it would not even freak / scare my kid out.

Point of this current R – A- N – T is to say that as a single mom I want him to get to the 9th grade so that I can stop being Super Mom and running and flying between soccer – baseball – band practice – no more taekwondo classes – taking a break via basketball and just sit down for a minute.

You see the photo ABOVE! That is how busy and CRAZY me and my son’s life be ” MOST DAYS”…… LOL He is on his way to music practice carrying his tenor saxophone in his baseball uniform because he is coming from baseball game!

I figure if he is older then I do not have to be Wonder Mom! A great deal of thins that he is participating in can be done maybe STRICTLY at school and if not – I can just have my baby in 1 outside activity!

Overall, I dont mind but seriously all of the activities that I mentioned are the things that my son does OUTSIDE of church

My son then is very active within his own church! LOL – The children’s ministry at this church is SUPER  SUPER  “duper” A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  My son participates in 3 weekly activities strictly for boys. Yes it may seem like a great deal but him being a boy and being taught by Godly Mentors are indeed PRICELESSS!

So that is also why I run myself ragged…………but oh Jesus I am so tired because at this point I just may hire a part time Babysitter / Nanny / Driver to assist me! I am so indeed serious! So I give a big HUGE shout out and big applause to all of the Single PRODUCTIVE Parents as well as the Mothers who are married but still feel like they “are single” when it comes to taking care of the kids!

Did I mention that there is a baseball game tomorrow, a soccer game and basketball on Saturday and a 3 hour baseball tournament on Sunday evening?
