A Little Weird and Disturbing

image

My son had a basketball game LAST weekend and he accidentally was kocked in the face by an opposed teammate.

It was an accident..no big..basketball is a very contact sport..etc..etc.. etc..etc..

My issue is and what I personally found Weird and Disturbing is that with how my son’s fave looks…. it would appear to LOOK AS IF MAYBE HE WAS PUNCHED IN THE FACE / EYE!!!!
image

However, not ONE single teacher, principal, security guard, bus driver or even a student even asked let alone noticed!!!!

I told my son, God forbid if i lived a double life right? Jesus …..this is just off and what if I was beating you at home my son….its sad that no one even cares or noticed your face!!!

I am SURE They are assuming everything is alright because either of the following::

I show up at every PTA Meeting, we both dress well, you are a good student, you are nice kid, I volunteer at your school etc., I have a good reputation etc.etc.
That is horrible I expressed to him! My son is a child like a few others that o heard and read about via bruising very easily ever since he was about 4 I notoced it. However, observe better how about that??!!!!

Nonetheless, the one’s who look like or seem as of they are sooooooooo perfect or toooooooo perfect are sometimes the Jason Bates, Jeffrey Daumer’s and Ted Bundy’s on the down low!!

I feel like ummmm… can someone even NOTICE that he APPEARS to have a mark on his face and under his eye lid PLEASE???

GEESH….

Bishop Timothy Williams – How I Remember Him

1

I woke up today STILL thinking of this past weekend and the Funeral / Home – Going Service Celebration of my FIRST male example in ministry. Pastor Tim was a pastor that loves – not because God is in his heart but because he is in the heart of God.

His thoughts, actions and messages to the congregation always come from the heart of God. He was a great man that really is driven by his passion for God and his vision for God’s vision. Pastor Tim worked tirelessly in ministry and I have never seen him give any less prayer, time and energy to someone else’s vision than he did to his own. Even though he was a pastor, he was an extraordinary servant and an even more exemplary as a worshipper. He consistently encouraged us to become worshippers of God more than anything, regardless of our age.

He was concerned about the whole person and his lifestyle is one that can be mimicked in the church, at home or at work. He was a proud husband and father and goes to great lengths to protect his family sometimes praying over them all night long. Always instructing them in how to hear God; draw near to God; honor God; give God all!

He was especially special to me on a personal note because he trained my mother to a place in God where I was actually able to see who God really was and what He can do.  She was MY EXAMPLE because he became HER EXAMPLE.

Everyone who walked into the doors of Christian Temple was actually able  to start fresh in the kingdom. It was life changing for me. And that’s what Pastor Tim did for many of us–change lives!

Pastor Tim was a father figure to many and I will deeply miss him….

Mother’s Teachings

My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE…
“If you’re going kill each other, do it outside – I just finished cleaning!”

My mother taught me RELIGION…
“You better pray that will come out of the carpet.”

My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL…
“If you don’t straighten up, I’m going to knock you into the middle of next week!”

My mother taught me LOGIC…
“Because I said so, that’s why.”

My mother taught me LOGIC… #2
“If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you’re not going to the store with me.”

My mother taught me FORESIGHT…
“Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you’re in an accident.”

My mother taught me IRONY…
“Keep crying and I’ll give you something to cry about.”

My mother taught me about the science of OSMOSIS…
“Shut your mouth and eat your supper!”

My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM…
“Will you LOOK at the dirt on the back of your neck!”

My mother taught me about STAMINA…
“You’ll sit there ’till all that spinach is finished.”

My mother taught me about WEATHER…
“It looks as if a tornado swept through your room.”

My mother taught me how to solve PHYSICS PROBLEMS…
“If I yelled because I saw a meteor coming toward you, would you listen THEN?”

My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY…
“If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times: Don’t exaggerate!”

My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION…
“Stop acting like your father!”

My mother taught me about ENVY…
“There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don’t have wonderful parents like you do!”

Funny right? You gotta love the teachings of your parents…. I wish my dad was still here to teach me more things and I PRAY that my mother lives a great deal longer to remain teaching me things! HONOR your parents….. >>>>please

Saying Goodbye to Good Teachers

I am happy to have such a great rapport with all of my son’s teachers…. I mean from the time he entered into Pre -K, I was apart of EVERY little event that they had for him. However, with him being basically almost in middle school ( yikes ) It is weird because “IN THE BEGINNING” my son could not stand to look at her which I found it rather odd….. She was very strick and stern as a TEACHER as I am as a PARENT so he should not have been shocked by the way that she ran her classroom!

Nonetheless, now he surely adores her! I did not have the heart to tell him that her last day will be sooner than later and he does not even know! It is great when your kids run into teachers that show that they care…..then of course when the teachers or the kids move on – it is a little sad. Shout out to all of the teachers across America who puts genuine time and effort into their students!

Parent Teacher Conference!

My son is just so so smart and I am glad! Whew – Although I am very elated that my son had all A’s a few B’s and 1 C – I STILL wanted to choke him!

Ugghhh why do little boys like to monkey around in class, why do they talk too much and cant stop, why do they chuckle and think that everything is just so  funny as the teacher walks on by?

Yeah I may be smiling but I have practiced my facial expression to STILL SMILE so that I dont end up choking my son! More things to work on via cutting up  – because I do not tolerate and deal with that CORNY and excuse of ” Boys Will Be Boys ” Syndrome……

I feel when you know better, you do better and my Lord does my son KNOW BETTER…..So he better get his act together or he will take it on the road! Mess around with me and he will be on punishment until he enters middle school >>>>>> I AM SO SERIOUS….. ( at least somewhat at least ) I went to the Parent Teacher Conference with a smile on my face and left the conference with my face and cheeks hanging low – I am officially disappointed!

Raising sons is something INTERESTING – geesh

Helpless in Sunday School – LOL

Ugghhhh!! My son was SOOOOOO BORED today in his Sunday School classroom! I didnt have the heart to video tape it! LOL

He was sitting there biting his nails and just starring at the sub teacher like he wanted to just get up and leave the classroom! LOL It is hard to really explain but I just know when my son is bored to the core and it was so sad…. There was about only another 15 minutes left and I went and excused him EARLY and when he saw me he started smiling……

However, when he totally removed himself from the classroom setting… he immediately said, Mom – oh my goodness! I was so bored in that class and I think that I need to be bumped up with the older kids! I asked him why and he started going into the topic for the day in Sunday School…..he was saying that the other kids were getting the story wrong about Samson and Delilah and the teacher did not correct them and that made him upset! LOL – I just love my kid to pieces! LOL

Even in regular school, God has gifted my son to be at least 2 steps ahead of the regular class so I am not shocked that the flow of his class is BORING him! I was like that as well growing up and being totally honest, it is still like that at times. Nonetheless, sometimes God wants us to adapt where we are until we can get to where we are going because everything is about timing! Of course HIS timing and surely not our own!

I asked him if he spoke up! LOL He said well mom, the teacher would have thought that I was trying to be disrespectful and a Mr. Know It All! I advised him that he was more than likely correct – especially if he would have addressed him in front of the rest of the classroom…. HOWEVER – I reminded him that he can always address anyone about anything…… but it is ALL ABOUT PRESENTATION and how it is being addresssed.

He smiled and said that he still wanted to change his classroom and I reminded him that sometimes God will leave us in situations because he sees something further down the line or sees that we have not mastered where we are. That may not be the case in all situations but if it is meant for him to be moved or other transitions need to occur that he is to pray about what he feels and things that he needs and wants out of a Sunday School lesson and we shall go from there…

He laughed….I laughed….. we hugged and ran in the rain to the car! I love 10 year old my kid!
