Always Make Time!

wpid-IMG_20131210_182933.jpg

Mothers and daughters have a tie that runs deep and strong. A bond that cant be severed by time or distance. But, as in every relationship, you must give it love and attention for it to grow and blossom. Spending time with your mom is very important. Mothers and daughters should get together and try to think of ways that will allow them not only to have fun together, but that will strengthen your friendship. It really doesn’t matter where you go or what you do, as long as it appeals to both of you.

Designate ” a day” and  maybe it can be Sunday as a family day, attend church together, go to dinner, spend an afternoon at the park and watch a movie that night. Whatever you chose, the only thing that’s important is that your spending time together and bonding. You’re developing and strengthening your friendship.

Spending time with the people we love is important, its really more important than our jobs or any other of the million and one responsibilities we must cater to every day. It really doesn’t matter how we do it, as long as we make some time everyday for those we love.

Church –

Oh did I have a splendid time on today in regards to fellowship at my place of worship! It is funny to me because I am so used to being in church EACH SERVICE for at least 3 hours. My son and I got home a little after 11 am this morning and it threw me off until at least 4 pm – SERIOUSLY!

I am so grateful for at least “this season” I am somewhere I am enjoying – learning new things about myself and discovering the Love of Christ in such a new and beautiful way –

The worship experience is so FREE that it makes me feel as if I am indeed floating on the promises of God Himself! It is different but good – new but old – loud but angelic – busy but therapuetic – short but long and I am happy as ever.

A HUGE PERK for me is that my 11 1/2 year old son really likes it as well – WHEW- So grateful

74 – 40 – 20

My Mommy is 74 and I’m 40 but we have fun like we are 20!

We had sooooo much fun today that she almost had me going to the bathroom on myself!!!!! I’m soooooo serious folk.
image

We had prank conversations with people today at random…had very RAMDOM people take pictures of us..then sat and “People Watched” while giggling….Okay, I’m lying…we just didn’t ONLY “giggle” because we had our own two cents to add as well as people walked by… Forgive us Lord!
We also passed an Obstetrics office and she was walking in there to ask if someone could deliver her baby right now because it was an emergency! !!

Whew honey, I hollered AND was embarrassed ALL at the same time….but indeed I didn’t care either because she almost died a few weeks ago!!!

Sounds crazy right!  So if my momma wants to prank doctors office’s acting as if she needs special services because she is pregnant. ..Mom, go right ahead!!!

Now do you understand why the blog title is simply only numbers! !!!! LOL.

NEVER act too old or too young to laugh with your family!

Mothers and Sons

image

As much as my kid works my nerves… I do love hanging out with him…. Just going out to hang out with friends is soo relaxing mentally.. It’s been just me and him for so long that as a single parent..I need space a few times a week.
image

However, it is rightfully so (in my son’s mind of course) that if we aren’t together…he needs to know my very whereabouts! ! I used to tell him ALL 10 things…  BUT know I had to literally scale it back / down to like 4 things.. . .  I set up an atmosphere that he felt as if it was his RIGHT TO KNOW my every single whereabouts!!! Lol
WhileI’m out doing MY own thing and just breathing my own air without my kid trying calculate how much I breathed WITHOUT HIM…..
image

When I pick him up to head home….I actually have the nerve to miss him as well…LOL – He indeed is a special kid…

Friendship With Fellowship

image

I really enjoy having a bunch of different friendships in MY LIFE. …. Honey, JUST like Christ, #diversity Rocks!!!!!

image

Me and my girlpals have a “standing appointment” every single week that we meet up and hang out…
image

After the last few months, weeks, days and hours that I have been having.. ….. Especially worrying about my Mommy!!! Whew, Seeing REAL friends / girlpals is just what I need!!!! LOL ..we eat..laugh..FREELY talk about God..life…relationshops…..work…being angry….being happy etc…etc…etc… ans more etc…etc..
image

Having friends BUT no fellowship is NOT a relationship! !!!!! In life, we have to be open to ALL types of friends because YOU will never know who God is trying to connect us to and what God is trying to do for us…..
image

Be open!!! I can tell you honestly that it’s been a blessing AND its worth it!

Blessed Mothers –

image

For ANYONE who has read a few of my posts know that besides the other RANTS that I may do from time to time – talking about being a parent – talking about politics – talking about relationships – talking about ministry – I SURELY do a great deal of blogs about who I affectionately call ym “Mommy Cakes” ……… She indeed is utterly amazing!
image

Blessed are the Mothers who love God, for their children shall  not be ignorant of their Creator and His plans about them.  Blessed are the Mothers who love the word of God, for their children shall know of the way, the truth and the life.
image

Blessed are the Mothers who love the house of God, for their  children shall enter there and sit with them in the presence of God. Blessed are the Mothers who love to pray, for their children  shall feel the power of prayer and many shall find salvation. Blessed are the Mothers who love to give to the cause of Christ,  for their children shall become supporters of the Kingdom of God.
image

Blessed are the Mothers who love the family altar, for they  shall have their reward in this world and in the world to come. Blessed are the Mothers who love to speak kind words to their  neighbor’s children, for thereby they shall win  other boys and girls besides their own to Jesus Christ. Blessed are the Mothers who love to be companions to their  children, for they shall be called understanding Mothers.
image

Blessed are the Mothers who love to fight life’s battles  bravely with a strong and steadfast faith in God, for their  children shall know where to find strength in time of need. Blessed are the Mothers who, when they are old and gray,  can look back upon memory’s wall with no regret and can say,  “I brought my children up in the fear of the Lord.”  Theirs are the mansions in glory.

First Day –

image

My son acts as if ” FIRST DAYS OF SCHOOL ” are no longer a big deal for him but that is NOT THE CASE! He tries to become super cool, especially with him going into 6th grade this year- Each parent does things differently but I try to plan!

Maybe is the first day of School in your child’s life ever. Maybe he or she is making a transition to middle school, or you just moved to a different neighborhood or a different city altogether.
image

Truth is this is a very important day. The way you help them deal with this first day will have an impact not only on the rest of the school year but also will let them know that they can trust you to help solve problems they may meet at their school all year round.

First find out if your school allowed you to have your own tour with your child. The couple of weeks before school starts, teachers start getting ready for the coming year and they also have meetings in the school premises.
image

The real first day start with a good breakfast, some kids get so nervous they cannot eat so simply offer something they cannot refuse, like their favorite cereal. Last but not least if they are taking the bus give them the big hug and kiss at home or if you are driving them before you get in the car. If they need a hug and or a kiss before they leave your side they would ask one.
image

You can NEVER be too careful, learn too much or know too much about the places of where your child will be – Keep in mind, it is the year 2013……things are indeed totally different from when YOU were in school – so be more focused!
