Memories –

I was thinking of when I was being honored at a Banquet and when I realized that my son was getting an award as well –  You know I was mushy and teary eyed!! About 5 years ago – I started doing street ministry but to the Homeless population  called The Coleman Cares Winter Project and I went out from October until April giving out clothes, coats, socks, hot beverages and food.

This was done by MY OWN money as well as my son’s little piggy bank ( by his choice – which touched my heart as well ) Nonetheless, my son was also honored since he was in the trenches with me! This photo was taken when my NOW 11 year old son was about 6 years old.

The Lord’s work has its own kind of reward that does not always come / show up in the FORM of currency……God is good.

Dear J.C.C.C.

image

I love you ….. You are beautiful on the inside that you have NO CHOICE but to shine and be even more beautiful on the outside….. I am indeed so very proud of you and to call you my son….

image

We have been through so many things together, it is a blessing that we still laugh, giggle, crack jokes and even smile as much as we do. God has used you and showed you how to be strong at a very early age and gratefully you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life.
image

Thank you for showing me how to extend grace to those who do not deserve it while reminding me DAILY …” WHAT WOULD JESUS DO”….

I am so glad God chose ME to be your mommy! Of course, there is no way that I could not ask for a better son and friend!

God bless you and know that I will always be here for you!

Trying his hand at Pitching!

Jared always wanted to be the pitcher but my baby does NOT seem to want to put the serious time into practicing.

image

I tell him allllllll the time that just because he is a good catcher and 3rd baseman does not mean that he should not have to practice….Geesh!!!

image

Now me personally…. I think that my son has impeccable form as a pitcher BUT it takes a lot more than form to be a successful pitcher let alone even a good one!!

image

He did an “okay” job at pitching today and as the inning went on the more players he ended up walking on base!!!
image

He is his own worse critic and the more players that walked on base it showed in his face and performance and he started doing bad……Really BAD!

The coach took him out and he never mentally and emotionally recovered. He was up at bat and struck out without even trying.

He will be okay….his team was very supportive and so were his coaches. However bottom line is that my son needs to put in the hard work…pay his dues and know that star positions in sports are earbed and not just given away.

Saturday #Part 1

Yeah, I started my day off at my son’s baseball clinic for about 15 minutes… He did not ask me but the look on his face was like,  Mom are you going to stay? Inside I was praying he didnt / wouldnt / better not have asked me to stay! LOL….. It was my birthday weekend and im at a baseball clinic at 8 am…. I didnt have to come back and pick him up until 2pm so I was running out the batting cages! LOL

He was so excited to just be there! this morning! I was glad to take him, let him learn, be around his friends and GO! LOL

I was glad that he was able to call me when it was about half way through because he needed me to bring his baseball bag! I so did NOT want to drive back up there but I was livid because  I was told he wouldnt need it until the next camp the following weekend! So of course I drove back to the baseball clinic to give him the baseball bag ONLY because Iwould not want him being the only one with out his bat and baseball gloves….

Baseball is his love and he was so excited to take photos and told them that he was going to three more baseball clinics!

ok about now, he was sooo tired! Ha, look at his face! LOL They ran them kids sooo hard it was funny…I caught the last 10 minutes and they were ALL struggling…. It was a great baseball clinic, they taught them a great deal and the price and the time was worth it.

They were practicing sliding onto the bases and they were getting their workout on and had the nerve to be good!! The season will be starting in 2 months and I am glad that I decided to sign him up for all of the baseball clinics BEFORE the season even started. I dont want to be running around during the season… he will be playing soccer and baseball at the same time again this year!

Now on  my way to a birthday fellowship for him.
