Who Is In Office?

Oval%20Office020

Ummmm… last time that I checked…. A United States President “represented” power and he or she ( Hillary 2016 ) was able to make MAJOR EXECUTIVE DECISIONS without the “okay” from congress…….. ( folk that represent the 50 states within the United States )…….

For a mega power county leader to NOT make a decision because he wanted “others” to be apart of the process is MIND BOGGLING to me…. I mean if you want CONGRESS “to help you” to decide…. WHY ARE YOU IN OFFICE? For all that , I should have AT LEAST ran for office…..

I mean the WORLD is watching and I am sure that although this is President Barack Obama’s last term in office he is thinking of his legacy. Well, Mr. President, there are tons of other things that has already transpired during your two terms so your legacy will NOT look like Lyndon B. Johnson, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy or Bill Clinton.

I mean – is this really AMERICA in this crisis right now? Families of military troops are all excited that the United States has been slowly but surely being pulled from the Middle East……. but if we know our great country of AMERICA – those same troops that were promised a date to “go home” with their families will be DETOURED TO SYRIA!

Ugghh… I wish that the country that I lived in operated with more BACKBONE – and why did no one care about SUDAN when ( and still ) going through all of the killings….. MASS MURDERING / RAPES etc???

Every belief that citizens try to express politically is rooted in some philosophy or religion or some set of assumptions about society and its
well-being. They do not come from out of nowhere. Religiously-based convictions about society and morality are as legitimate as those that spring from non-religious philosophies. Hence, Christians, Muslims, or Jews may seek to get laws passed that are rooted in their religious convictions. Such laws are appropriate as long as they have a secular purpose and do not constitute an establishment of religion.

Whether these laws are wise or worthy of enactment must be judged by whether they promote the common good as judged by national values not by the fact that they are or are not rooted in the religious faith of those who support them.

A religious foundation is neither required not forbidden. Neither secular humanism nor religious faith is privileged in this regard. Ideally and in principle, religious believers should not seek to get laws passed on religious grounds but because they express the values of the secular society. These norms and goals are defined by the founding documents and cultural traditions as they have come to be embedded in the common life. For example, if people of faith want to crusade for universal health coverage, e. g., they should argue for the policy not because the Bible or the Pope authorizes it or because God wills it but because it promotes “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and because Congress is constitutionally permitted to spend money to provide for the “general welfare.”

Likewise, religious groups that seek to outlaw racial or gender discrimination should make their case on the claim that it would be good for society as a whole not on the fact that it is authorized by their religious faith.  In practical terms, however, if believers feel that distinguishing between the religious
basis and the political implications of their faith is an intolerable splitting of a unitary set of beliefs, then let them act accordingly. If  people actually
convince other voters to support legislation because the Bible, the Pope, Buddhist teachings, the Koran, or church doctrine mandates it, not much can be done about it except to make an effort to persuade them that there is a better way.

TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We cannot determine or control the reasons why people vote or support the policies they do or prevent them from convincing others to do the same. In the voting booth citizens are a law unto themselves. They can vote for whatever or whoever they want for any reason that motivates them. It is pointless to demand purity of principle on this matter. Voters act out of prejudice, self-interest, racial identity, ignorance, and for all sorts of other good and bad reasons, including their religious beliefs, philosophical commitments, and a devotion to justice based on American principles. Let us be realists about the matter.

Democracy is an untidy, often VERY messy,  matter…..IF you do not believe me… look at AMERCIA! Ugghhhhh……

The people can do what they want restrained only by Constitutional mandates. But it is better when acting politically in the public arena for believers to translate  religiously-based beliefs into the traditions, language, and values of the secular order. This is called for as a matter of principle. It is advisable pragmatically as well, since the tying of policy or voting explicitly to the tenets of a particular
religion, denomination, or sect may repel  large number of voters and hinder rather than further the cause.

Don’t Get Me Wrong…..

Dont get me wrong ….  just because I am NOT wearing Obama 2012 election buttons and I have my own personal views with the current president that I feel it is alright for Americans to take FREEDOM OF SPEECH severely out of context!!! This billboard that was made and put up a few days ago is just so disrespectful that the people who owns the marketing billboard company needs to be fined as well as the individuals who paid for it to go up.

Do I believe in FREEDOM OF SPEECH? Yes!!! However, the way that this country is currently and is going – do not think it strange for our government to start RE-VISITING a great deal of FREEDOM legislation bills to get a better “grip” on the people! Freedom of Speech as well as The Patriot Act is surely going to be the first two pieces of legislation that will become quickly amended – mark my words! As a country, WE DO NOT know what to expect for the next 4 years from President Obama or Mitt Romney if he is elected into office!

President Barack Obama, is the ONLY American president “to date” that has been OPENLY disrespected by the citizens, to the part of disgrace from the American People. Even when our country was in the midst of the Vietnam War, the people were upset but they knew to watched what they said and understood how far to go.

In this era of presidency, the American people do not understand the phrase, ‘trade lightly” and it shows….. To compare your president with the tragedy of Colorado and sadly…poorly attempt to tie it into the Afghan War is just obnoxious! Last time I checked, America was dealing with the Middle East ever since President BUSH was in office!

American Citizens need to pay attention to REALLY what is going on in the world as a whole because I would NOT be shocked if it some kind of way, that some of the ” Democratic Ways” would start disappearing ….. Trust me, we do NOT need, deserve or want a dictator ruling our country! If we were in another country, citizens would have been killed by these acts of disrespect.

It is now 2012 ….start comparing all of the different types of legislation that will start all of sudden changing! You dont have to be into politics to understand that things are and will change when you least expected!

You Can Too –

Some of the MOST important people in our lives as well as our nation’s history had to learn how to OVERCOME! We feel that we are always the only individuals who seem to go through hell, experience failure, betrayed, lose friends, lose finances and the breaking up of family. Welp, if that were indeed the case, how successful would the ” human race ” actually be? We should READ MORE and this way we would discover that, “we too can beging again” regardless how  many times we have to attempt to make our goals a reality!

In 1831 he failed in business.
In 1832 he was defeated for the state legislature.
In 1833 he failed again in business.
In 1834 he was elected to the state legislature.
In 1835 his sweetheart died.
In 1836 he had a nervous breakdown.
In 1838 he was defeated for Speaker.
In 1840 he was defeated for Elector.
In 1843 he was defeated for Congress.
In 1846 he was elected for one term to Congress.

In 1848 he was defeated again for Congress.
In 1855 he was defeated for the Senate.
In 1856 he was defeated for Vice President.
In 1858 he was defeated again for the Senate.

In 1860 he, finally, was elected President of the United States. And these are just a few of the rough spots in the life of great former United States President, Abraham Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln grew up in a very difficult environment. He had less than one year of formal schooling. He experienced defeat and failure year after year, but is one of the great-greatest. success stories of all time. In spite of everything, he had the right attitude to achieve success!

Guess what – it is 2012 going on 2013 and YES….the world is STILL a mess but there are opportunities available for you to be and maintain a success story if you do not GIVE UP!

Dear ( ME )

I Think Waaay 2 Much!

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
Why women can’t put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why don’t you ever see the headline ‘Psychic Wins Lottery’?
Why is ‘abbreviated’ such a long word? (seriously!)
Why is it that doctors call what they do ‘practice’?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor,

BUT dish washing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn’t there mouse-flavored cat food?
Why didn’t Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes?

WELL, Why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!
Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
If flying is so safe,  why do they call the airport the terminal?
